Description of the Kailua-Kona vacation condo rental

Large Studio Condo across from Whitesands beach and fully-equipped. Walk across the street to the best Summer beach in Kona (as close as you can get). Studio has KING sized Bed, and also two twin day beds on the screened-in sleeping porch. Small floor futons are also available for young children.
The unit has a well-equipped kitchenette, screened in lanai, and opens up onto a yard with lounge chairs, gas grills, and 180 degree ocean views.

We provide beach chairs, ice chests, and beach towels... Less for you to pack.

Fully Equipped Unit - kitchenette is fully stocked with aluminum foil / plastic bags, all the utensils you need. Grill out on one of several gas grills in the yard and watch the waves. Wireless internet, free long distance to US & Canada.

5 minutes from the center of town, shopping, restaurant row. Close drive to other well known local beaches, including a little over a mile to Kahalu'u (Snorkel/Turtle beach). Short drive to Keauhou for shopping and movie theatres. A great base to see the island from, or stay home and relax at the beach.

This condo unit is right across Alii Dr. from Whitesands Beach / La'aloa State park. This is one of just 3 condo units in the building, and is thus much less crowded than a large condo complex. Each unit has parking close to its entrance, a laundry machine, gas grill, etc. You can also rent more than one unit to have your group together, but with your own 'space.'

RATES: $89 to $99 per night. (The rate calender above is a sample). Add HI State tax and cleaning fee.

Rates vary depending on season, length of stay, and number in party- kids stay free. No required stay (i.e. Friday to Friday), but we do have a 5-7 night minimum. Special rates may apply for Holidays or Ironman. Call or e-mail us for a quote.

Your initial e-mails are welcome, but we will require a telephone chat before we finalize any contract.
We live, work, mail and bank within 4 miles from this home. TERMS: only $25 on bookings more than 100 days out, with 25% 90 and 60 days out. The balance of 50% just 20 days before arrival. We can also arrange an arrival payment.

A place that has it all.

They've thought of everything. Boogie boards, coolers, long distance calling, wifi and laundry included... And they're right across from a great beach. A sea turtle swam right up to us to say hello! The full kitchen and grill were very much appreciated as well. We stayed for only 4 nights but will be back for sure. It's set up with 3 units makes it ideal for bringing other friends and family. One of the best values on the island.

Great Place across from Whitesands Beach

A great roomy studio condo 100 steps from the beach. Large screened porch with 2 more beds, if needed. Completely equipped with everything you could possibly need - boogie boards, noodles, life jackets, coolers, flippers, baby strollers, washing machines and dryers. Fully equipped inside with cookware, dishes, sheets, towels, beach towels, spices, TV, CD player. Quiet, clean, and convenient. You can hear and smell the ocean. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Don't ask for the German weather. We are sad to be home! No more fresh Papayas and Surf shorts for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay in the unit #3 "Beach Suite" very much. Especially Tim, our one year old son loved the keiki pool you recently bought. Thanks! Kitchen was well equipped and we missed nothing but a chef. The barbecue "machines" are awesome. I need a monster like that here in Germany. I don't have plans for next year's Hawaii race yet. But if I/we come back it's the White Sands Beach House! Everything was perfect at the Beach suite. The kitchen area had everything we needed. We made noodles with tomato sauce. Coffee machine was very good, we found also coffee filters. Microwave worked great. The large fridge was perfect. We even made burritos... We greatly appreciated finding aluminium foil and plastic containers to take along some bagels to the beach.

The location was absolutely great, between Kona and Keauhou, so we could go shopping at the Keauhou shopping center and for diner to Kona downtown. Furthermore, it was very quiet at night; we didnt't hear cars from Alii drive. The view from the yard in front of the Beach suite was fantastic.

Friends of mine stayed last year at a hotel and I'm not sure, but they paid a fair amount more. However, it depends, I don't need a pool and a bar were you can buy expensive drinks and snacks. We like the added privacy, and also to cook by ourselves, and a hotel room has no kitchen.Â For us from Germany, it was especially advantageous because of the actual strong Euro.Â Thanks a lot, and we are sure to come back again to Hawaii someday. -- Sebastian and Kirsten, Oldenburg Germany , December 2009

I wish I was back at [the Beach Suite] now. It is very cold and rainy here in Seattle. I had a great stay at the Whitesands Beach suite. Your home was by far one of the best places I've ever stayed at in Hawaii. We [went] almost every day into town and got coffee at Lava Java. We used the beach chairs and rode some of the great waves at the White Sands Beach with the boogie boards. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. And one of the biggest pluses was the provided laundry machines and detergent. We really didn't need to bring anything extra. All these extras really made our vacation enjoyable and relaxing. The [Beach Suite] was very nice, a good place to relax after our travels about the island. The BBQ was very convenient and we used it several times.
