Description of the Kailua-Kona vacation condo rental
(We also have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo on the same property with an amazing panoramic ocean view from the lanai and most rooms in the condo. Pictures and site available upon request. This condo may be available even if the availability calendar shows "no vacancy". So don't hesitate to ask me. It has recently been renovated inside.)
This condo has a total new renovation from top to bottom with new furniture, appliances, walk-in shower, new kitchen, new tile, pictures and paint and more. It is one of the best penthouse one bedroom vacation condos in the complex with an ocean view, quiet and private, the largest kitchen.
A queen-size bed in the largest bedroom of any 1 bedroom condo in the complex with high thread count sheets and a very well-equipped condo awaits you after your long journey. Awake to the sounds of the ocean and then enjoy a morning walk along Alii Drive, stop by Lava Java and return to breakfast on the ocean view lanai. This condo is tastefully renovated with tropical art work, a new flat screen TV, all new appliances, all the small appliances needed and a washer and dryer in the unit. A full size sofa bed with new mattress provides additional sleeping accommodations for 2 guests; more ideal for 1 additional person.
Dining on the lanai is a special treat day or evening. Linens and candles are an added touch in this condo. You may also wish to dine a few steps away at the barbeque deck where there are 2 barbeques and lots of dining tables and chairs for larger groups. If you are having a larger gathering or party, you may want to reserve a space and date with the manager.
A solar heated pool can be viewed from the lanai and is lit for that warm evening swim before heading up to bed.
There is water equipment for your use such as a boogie board, snorkel equipment, a picnic cooler, beach chairs/ umbrella's and large beach towels. There are CD's and DVD's, guidebooks and lots of local information. We have a starter setup to provide you with basic items so that you may relax upon arrival.
Lush gardens and palms await your arrival at Alii Villas. It is one of the best maintained ocean front complexes along Alii Drive...and I might add, with one of the best managers on the island. The complex is direct oceanfront with additional viewing from a special sea wall with benches for sunset evenings with neighbors and friends. We enjoy going down in the early morning to watch the morning gloaming.
The complex is very conveniently located within a 15 minute walk of the edge of town and about 20-30 minutes from the airport. There is a built in bar-b-q located next to the pool with an entertainment deck from which sunsets and whale sightings can be viewed.
Centrally located with snorkel, swimming and sunny beaches and fine dining just minutes from the condo.
You will find kayaking, parasailing, jet skiing and tours of all sorts to include helicopter tours, glass bottom boat, volcano tours, coffee farms and many others too numerous to mention. Don't forget to reserve a spot to swim with the dolphins at the Hilton.

The unit we had was beautiful and had all of the updated accomdations anyone could want. We have been to the islands 21 times over the years and I would highly recomend thsi unit to anyone. The unit made the three flights of stairs worth it. When any one at the complex asked where we were staying and we told them they said say no more the units Gene and Charlie owned were the nicest in this complex. We would diffently stay there when we visit again. Thanks again Gene and Charlie for making this a wonderful vacation.

This unit is conveniently located a few miles south of the Kona airport and a short distance south of the Kailua district. on the third floor of a complex. It is immediately across the street from the White Sands beach, the best body surfing beach on the Kona coast. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms two couples and one child were comfortable. There was an adequate kitchen well suppllied. We made use of the fins and boogie board and beach chairs and ate 2 meals a day on the lanai overlooking the pool area with the surf visible and clearly audible off to the left. There were multiple guides to the island and 3 ukeleles. There were flat-screen TV's in the living room and master bedroom and handheld shower heads in both bathrooms. The big advantage is the location across the street from the sandy beach where parking is otherwise at a premium. I understand that the sand disappears for a few months sometime in January but it was present during our stay January 11-22. There is an elevator and covered parking and well-kept tennis courts.
Thank you for the review; but this review is for another condo further south from our complex. We do have most of the items noted, but do not live across the street from the White Sands. We are within walking distance of town (less than one mile) and have the newest renovation in the Alii Villa complex with the largest bedroom and kitchen. Thank you, but hope you can get the right number for your host.

The owners are extremely helpful as well as professional. The condo is first class all the way. Everything they say on their website is really true. Condo is ocean front. They have thought of everything to make your stay wonderful and carefree. Check it out you won't be disappointed

We spent a month in Gene & Charles condo last year; it was one of 4 condos while we were in Hawaii. Their condo was furnished the nicest and they always kept in touch with us if we had questions or ideas. The view is fantastic, it is a nice complex and the sound of the waves is great. Gene & Charlie were very honest and prompt about refunding the deposit after our stay. I fully recommend renting their condo, they were easier to work with than some of the realtors we have experienced in the past in various vacation spots.
