Kalani Kai-Kona Condo
February 6, 2013
We found the condo clean, attractively decorated, spacious and bright for two adults. It was advertised to be suitable for two adults, but there were no other provisions for any other sleeping area. It had a good working air conditioner and a ceiling fan in the livingroom and bedroom. It doesn't have a view of the ocean, but we were constantly entertained by a couple hundred morning doves and some other grey birds. It was fun sitting on the lanai watching these birds leave and return in flocks. Sharon, the owner, checked in on us after our arrival to see if there was anything else we needed. She had identified the location of kitchenware, bedding, bathroom items, and cleaning supplies with labels. There was one parking spot for each condo and a parking lot for visitors. The tourist waterfront area was about 5 minutes away. Walmart and Safeway are a 10 minute walk uphill. If we travel to Kona again we are surely going to check on the availability of this condo or others Sharon may have to rent.
Owner's reply:
These folks were a delightful couple. Really appreicated how clean they kept the condo. I returned their full deposit right after they left. They didn't even rent a car. Everything was so close for them except one day they decided to go for a walk to the harbor. They found out how far and hot it really was and got a ride back. Would rent to them anytime I have something available or even my own home ohana.
Owner Supplied Testimonials

Written in my guest book. From Alaska. Great location for everything I wanted to do. Saved me from driving around because I could walk. Just what I wanted to do. Loved all the birds that are in the trees outside the lanai. Your bed is one of the most comfortable we have had on this trip. Thanks so much
Boy you had everything we needed in the condo. It was so clean and quiet. Thanks for all your help giving us directions. Iron man from Columbia
Unit was so nice, quite and clean. Loved the location. Swim everyday without the hassle of parking. Great sea life. Mary S

About:
We just love living in Kona. There are so many outdoor activities that we are outside more then inside like when we were living in cold country. It's great. My husband is retired from the slope in Alaska. I'm from Lake Tahoe, Nv. Had all the snow we can handle in one life time. The island is so... - View full profile
