Description of the Kailua Kona vacation home rental

Beautiful 5 Bedroom 3 Bath home with Pool on private, mini-estate located in an established neighborhood just minutes from the center of downtown Kona.

Large 32 foot pool for family fun. Sun-deck is perfect for tanning. 15 mile shore line view – watch whales from your lanai. 5 minutes to town, island’s best snorkeling and famous White sands beach park.

3 Bedrooms have Kings, 4th has two twins that can be made as a king, and downstairs 'cabana' has queen and several twin mattresses. Floor futons and cribs available.

Fully Equipped home - kitchen is fully stocked with aluminum foil / plastic bags, all the utensils you need. Two Gas grills on adjoining covered lanai. There is dining and breakfast table inside, picnic tables outside on covered lanai.

Large living area upstairs has plenty of room for family gatherings. This is a great home for a reunion, anniversary, or birthday.

RATES: $349 to $549 per night. (The rate calender above is an average). Add HI State tax and a one time cleaning fee of $151.03.

Rates vary depending on season, length of stay, and number in party- kids stay free. No required stay (i.e. Friday to Friday), but we do have a 5-7 night minimum. Special rates may apply for Holidays or Ironman. Call or e-mail us for a quote.

Area Description

Located in prestigious subdivision just minutes form the heart of Kailu-Kona- shopping and restaurant row. Close drive to several well known local beaches, including Magic Sands, Kahalu'u (Turtle beach), and Honl's. Short drive to Keauhou shopping and movie theatres. A great base to see the island from, or stay home and relax at the pool.

The house was great. Everyone in our group was very appreciative of how clean it was, their were a lot of supplies. I think the only thing we ran out of was laundry detergent, we just bought some more. The washer and dryers were a great help. The boogie boards were a huge hit too. The entire family had a wonderful time at the Shogun home. There were so many pluses that may seem small to you but are very helpful to visitors. To name a few: the beach towels, the boogie boards and other water toys, the paper products and plastic bags so we could make sandwiches, the spices, the laundry supplies, the amazing numbers of glasses and plates, the huge piles of bath towels, ice chest. I am glad to comment on our stay at the Shogun Pool Home. It could not have been better. The house was stocked very nicely. We loved having the pool... Our grandkids loved all the pool toys as well as the beach toys. It was great to have all the equipment there that we needed - beach chairs, beach towels, sand toys, boogie boards, etc. It was also great to have some toys in the house for the kids to play with and the high chair and playpens were life savers. We also cooked in a lot and used the BBQ's.
Also something that we didn't expect - there were wild turkeys that went through the yard every day. It was so much fun to see them. We also used the quiet sitting area - just off the back deck by the BBQ's a lot. We told our grandkids it was the secret garden story telling place and they loved it. Our family had a great time during our stay. We found the house very well stocked with all supplies, having the beach chairs to use was a big plus. We enjoyed barbecuing and being able to have everyone together at the dining room table and living area, very roomy. Certainly the price was a plus and so much better than a hotel.
