Description of the Kailua Kona vacation home rental

Large, private vacation home with pool and breathtaking views, just minutes from town, beaches, shopping.

We provide beach toys, boogie boards, swim noodles, beach towels, beach chairs, and ice chests for your use. Also, cable & wireless internet.

1st bed has king; 2nd & 3rd beds have queens. Family room doubles as 4th bedroom with sofa bed. A second sofa bed in the living area.

Fully equipped kitchen, supplied with aluminum foil, dishwasher with soap, plastic bags, microwave, full fridge and stove, coffee maker, etc.; everything you need to cook a meal. Gas grill out back by pool.

RATES: $179 to $259 per night. (The rate calender above is an average). Winter rates 1-1 to 4-1 $239 to $279. Add HI State tax and a one time cleaning fee of $140.62.

Rates vary depending on season, length of stay, and number in party- kids stay free. No required stay (i.e. Friday to Friday), but we do have a 5-7 night minimum. Different rates may apply for Ironman & Christmas. Call or e-mail us for a quote. Last Minute discounts available.

Area Description

Established upscale neighborhood just minutes form the heart of Kailua-Kona- shopping and restaurant row. Close drive to several well known local beaches, including Magic Sands, Kahalu'u (Turtle beach), and Honl's beach. Short drive to Keauhou shopping and movie theaters. A great base to see the island from, or stay home and relax at the pool.

Best Place to stay in Kona, October 25, 2009

My wife and I stayed 8 days at the Hibiscus pool home. It was the best place we have ever stayed in Kona. The kitchen was well equipted, the home was clean and easy to use. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. And who and beat the view. The neighborhood was quiet with wonderful hiking trail on Walua road close by. Grocery shopping was close at hand. My highest rating for this property. We would absolutely stay there again.

We stayed in the Hibiscus home in July 2008. It was a wonderful experience. The house was very clean, and the views were spectacular. Everything was available at the house for spending the day at the beach and the kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. It was absolutely our best vacation ever!! I would definitely recommend a stay here.

WOW! Words cannot describe how wonderful our trip became once we discovered how awesome our home was for our stay there. Staying at the Hibiscus house was better than staying at a hotel. It really was like a second home to us. The neighborhood is so peaceful; we were even greeted by two huge wild turkeys walking around the balcony. We enjoyed cooking on the grill and in your fully equipped kitchen. The pass through window is very convenient! The kids loved pretending they were at a drive through restaurant.
The entire family loved the pool! After a long day at the ball park then cooking in the kitchen, the pool the best way to unwind, relax, and get some exercise. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and you have a lot of pillows which we love. -- Much Aloha, Kelly Uyeda, Hilo HI, May 2009

We LOVED Hibiscus! Given that one must drive to most beaches anyway, we did not find the location to be a problem and in fact greatly enjoyed the view and being in a quiet private neighborhood. It was also convenient to KTA, the best grocery store we found. It was SO helpful to have the house well stocked with the basics. We did appreciate never having to buy paper products, cleaning supplies and condiments. The beach and pool toys were well used by the little girls and the oodles of beach towels and mats came in handy. The large and well-maintained barbecue saw use almost every evening. It was breakfast by the pool and gin and tonics on the lanai. Bottom line: house was great and we will be happy to stay again and/or to recommend. -- Tom and Martha Piwonka , Ferndale WA March 2009

My children and I had an absolutely wonderful time at the Hibiscus house in May. Kitchen was great, location and view awesome, pool perfect, beds pretty good,(I like softer), way better deal than our last hotel. I will never stay at a hotel again. It really was great.
