Description of the Kailua Kona vacation home rental

Only 1 mile from the center of town, shopping, beaches, and restaurants, this home has plenty of room for the whole family. Rent all 5 bedrooms, or just 3 (and we won't rent the rest) as you need space.
One king, 2 queens, 1 full, and 2 twin beds plus a plus a trundle day bed (another 2 twins) in the downstairs family room. Floor futons available for kids.
Full kitchen plus kitchenette downstairs, Cable TV, wireles internet. Home is newly furnished and well-equipped with supplies like boogie boards, beach chairs / towels, coolers, etc. We even supply the laundry soap. Baby equipment available on request.
Large landscaped yard with Papaya trees off a quiet court.
Exclusive neighborhood (our retired Federal Judge lives a few doors down).

Rent just the top floor 3 bedrooms / 2 bath for $129 to $159 a night plus HI State tax and $93.74 one time cleaning fee. (***We will not rent downstairs out if you rent upstairs only.*** *Rate calendar above is an average.*)

-OR- Rent the ENTIRE home $179 to $259 per night plus tax and $140.62 clean fee.

Rates vary depending on season, length of stay, and number in party- kids stay free. No required stay (i.e. Friday to Friday), but we do have a 5-7 night minimum. Special rates may apply for Christmas and Ironman. Call or e-mail us for a quote. Last Minute discounts available.

On site laundry facilities and we provide the soap / fabric softener. Also, your own gas grill for BBQ, Burgers, & Fish.

The Papaya Grove Home is heavenly., October 26, 2007

We had the most relaxing stay at this tropical paradise. It was so cool, calm, quiet and peaceful, especially at night. We slept deeply and soundly. The sweet singing birds were the first thing we heard upon awakening in the morning. The papayas picked from trees on the property were juicy and delicious. The ocean sunsets from the lanai were spectacular and truly memorable. This home was truly "fully-equipped" with lots of kitchenware, linens, games for the kids, Hawaiian music cds, and beach gear which really came in handy for our trips to nearby beaches. This home was so close to the beaches, Big Island sights, and central Kona yet we felt as though we were in a different world with all the tropical foliage and ambience. Finally, the rental rates were very very reasonable. We feel we got a real bargain for the rent we paid. We will definitely be returning to this tropical paradise and recommend the Papaya Grove Home to all our friends back home, without hesitation. A big mahalo!

[We] want to thank you for all your assistance in connection with our recent rental of the house. [The Papaya Home] was aptly named because of all the papayas growing on the site. We tried two before the birds got them. The house was just as shown in the pictures and it worked out great in terms of sleeping and eating. Everyone was impressed with the amount of beach gear. The kids particularly liked the boogie boards and small plastic pails, shovels etc and the snorkel gear, mats and umbrella were unexpected great additions. We had a wonderful time on the Big Island and the house was perfect! We could have brought more people with us!! The "house gecko" was pretty neat, and the birdsong in the mornings blew me away. We walked [around] downtown, snorkeled, rode horseback into the Waipio Valley. Climbed Mauna Kea (well, car most of the way) to see the stars and tried out many good restaurants.
