Description of the Kailua Kona vacation home rental

A real home away from home in a truly comfortable house. The elevation is just right to be about 10 degrees cooler than the sweltering oceanfront properties and with our tradewinds and the spacious lanais and private front yard you'll enjoy every moment of natural cool fresh air many would envy (and you can hear nature instead of fans and compressors). VCR/DVD/Satellite with HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and local news channels. Situated on an acre of land, this fantastic house has enough settings that you can enjoy a different place from morning, noon, afternoon and night. When you do retire, the master bedroom becomes a world of its own with a massive bedroom with its own exercise nook. The double vanity sets off a glass tiled bathroom shower which is separated from a deep jetted tub which is separated from a private toilet. Besides cathedral ceilings the bedroom also has a walk in closet. The cathedral ceilings extend to the living room, dining room, and out to the massive back lanai. Full kitchen, electrionic piano, rice cooker and MORE! Kona Comfort Tranquil House is flexible enough to be a retreat, a lover's nest, or it can open up for a great party -- the choice is yours as your mood strikes. Outside our property extends past most people's clear range of vision. People are known to go out and take morning and afternoon walks in the neighborhood. We have coffee, banana and star fruit trees which you can partake of when in season (well the coffee might be a bit of work!)... Many of our visitors tell us how much they enjoy RELAXING because the house feels like home. On the grounds are more lounge chairs, a barbecue grill and a picnic table.

We discount according to length of stay: 7 days 5%, 14 days 10%, 21 days 20%, 28 days 25%, 30 or more days 35%!

Live like a local would live. We know what is authentic and what is mass duplicated, our spaces are not thrown together carelessly and took years of development. We know what really counts to make a vacation visit go smooth and then we care enough to provide it. The location you select is very important.. first you probably won't be as happy at a low elevation or one near the crowds and traffic. What we have is a location at a good elevation -- and not too far nor too close to the major stores and attractions. Our acre of land is situated in a neighborhood of 1 acre or larger lots -- known for peace and quiet, very much like a rural setting where you can see the stars at night and yet jump in the car and go up the street to Kay's for a mixed plate or a local style hamburger. Or go down the street to make a quick trip to Wal-Mart or rent a video at BlockBuster. The insides are unique and full of attention to detail and we bring them to you not just clean but SPOTLESS -- try to find that at a boxed condo rental! We do have people who book ahead and we frequently have to turn down those who want big chunks of time so don't be left behind book in advance to get to come back home to sanity and peace by staying at Kona Comfort Tranquil House! WIFI internet covers the house. Front yard to the house is gated and private. Both a front and back lanai. Wireless phone for local outgoing calls upon request. Roll-a-way bed upon request. Guests who stay for a week or longer gain access to washer and dryer.

• Deposits: We require a $175 Damage Deposit for this House. To get your booking on the calendar and HOLD your unit we will require at least $500 down with the balance paid 60 days before arrival if the amount is greater than $500 and if you are arriving in more than 60 days, otherwise the total amount is due at the time you book.
   
• Other Fees: Your rent is calculated from a base rent plus an extra person charge. If you wish to register more occupants, please call prior to checking in. The additional rent is $15 (plus taxes) for each person or an automatic charge of $35 for unregistered occupants. There is no cleaning fee. We expect the rental to be left broom clean with dishes washed, trash taken out, food removed, common sense and courtesy.

This rental was truly great. The pictures do not do it justice. You have everything you need at your fingertips. Mike is an oustanding host, and if you should need anything all you have to do is call him. It is in a good area only 5-10 minutes from Alii Drive. It was nice to be just far enough from the crowds for some nice quiet time yet close enough to become involved in any and all of the local activities you want. The cooler evenings and mornings were also enjoyed by our entire group. The geckos are the cutest, and the wild turkeys that roost in the trees on the property at night were both beautiful and entertaining. The yard is huge and you have lots of privacy. Believe me this is an outstanding bargain as well as a very roomy, comfortable, and well equiped house with the best furnishings and great attention to detail. Your visit will be a happy one as was ours.

I just wanted to say that our stay at the Kona Comfort Tranquil House was the best so far I had stayed at. This is my first vacation home I had stayed and I can say that the place was nice and big. I would definitely recommend a vacation home next trip. I would also recommend a vacation home to anyone else going on a trip. I would also plan my trip for a longer stay.
