Reviews for this vacation home rental in Kailua Kona, Big Island, Hawaii
The kids enjoyed the pool which was conveniently located and accessible from all rooms (great for our older kids ages 9 and 11, maybe something to think about for younger kids who will have their own room). We were a short walk to snorkeling and boogie boarding, a short drive to town. The house had everything we needed and more. We'd stay here again!
We so enjoyed our stay in Kona and this home was perfect for our family. The pool was so fun and the home was so close to magic sands beach, which had great waves for body surfing and a wonderful beach for lounging. We had ample room for everyone to sleep with comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked and roomy enough for all the cooks in the kitchen. I would love to rent this home again on my next visit to the big island
We stayed there last week while we were in Kona for the 1/2 ironman. The house was big and covered in things that normal houses have. It was clean and had an incredible view/pool/garage. We would def. stay here again !!!
Owner Supplied Testimonials
WE LOVED IT!! There is nothing we can think of to make it better! We will definitely be in touch for future dates! It was the perfect place to vacation with our whole family! Thank you, The Hamakers, Bend OR, Nov. 2007
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. Overall it was a great house and it was very well appointed. We had everything we needed and them some more! Plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances. We did a fair amount of cooking and grilling, so we really used the kitchen a lot. I loved the freezable cooler that was in the freezer - Cindy & Donald Rogers, Glen Allen VA, Jan. 2008
Wow! What can I say? everything was just perfect. The pool is extremely nice and well maintained. The view is unbelievable. Almost everyday we saw humpback whales from the deck. The rooms, furnishings and amenities were more than we could have asked for. We all loved the geckos, birds and the pass though kitchen window. What a beautiful home and an amazing Island... The girls spent hours upon hours in the pool and both of them even fully snorkeled in the ocean for the first time... Best and Mahalo! - Tawny & Marc Madenwald, Seattle, Mar/Apr 08 ... [Note: Whale season is in Winter.]
It was a fantastic vacation and the home was great. [The Snorkel Home] was stocked well, the wireless worked well and the location was excellent. We spent many hours at the snorkel cove beach area and the boogie board beach which were within walking distance. - Jim & Leah Barfoot Lake Tapps WA Aug. 2008
We were extremely impressed with the "home away from home" that the Snorkel Cove Pool Home afforded us on this very special vacation. It was nice and close to the University of the Nations where the wedding took place... Our youngest boy was in the pool constantly... overall it was a fun family atmosphere. Thank you -- Ray & Miriam Weibel, Donalda AB Sept. 2008
We had a great time in the Snorkel home. We really liked the house because its structure was perfect for us. The best thing about the house was it had 3 king beds, and those beds were so comfortable. The location was also perfect. All in all, we liked the house very much, and we can't thank you enough. We hope to stay there again for our next Hawaii vacation. Best Regards, Cindy & Ming Zhang, Akron OH Dec 2008
We had a fantastic time at the snorkel house! It was perfect, in that everyone had their own space. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. We only went out for dinner a few times and cooked at the house the rest. The local farmers market was great for veggies. The pool was fun. It felt like home, which is what we were hoping for. Our goal was family time together and the house fit the bill! -- Mahalo once again, Susan Drabinski, Yucaipa Ca March 2009
Our family had a great time during our stay. We found the house very well stocked with all supplies, having the beach chairs to use was a big plus. We enjoyed barbecuing and being able to have everyone together at the dining room table and living area, very roomy. Certainly the price was a plus and so much better than a hotel. We will use your services again. -- Mahalo Linda Jacobson, Long Beach CA, June 2009
We just wanted to tell y'all how much we enjoyed staying in the snorkel cove home the past week. The house was perfectly stocked with everything one would need for a great holiday. We especially appreciated that we didn't have to buy things that would be wasted later like beach toys and coolers, laundry supplies, kitchen equipment and basics, beach towels, etc... And the hospitality we encountered was second only maybe to what we experience here in Texas (not that we're biased or anything)! All in all, a magical experience made even more so because we had such a wonderful home base. Thanks! Heather Vail, Friendswood TX June/July 2009
