Large kitchen with cooking island, 2 ovens & wetbar makes this home perfect for entertaining. Living room, kitchen & master bedroom overlook the pool & the gorgeous Pacific Ocean. Area Information

Hale Wela is near the best beaches on the island, the small boat harbor, and the fun town of Kailua-Kona. At the perfect altitude of 600 feet, you have plenty of warm sun, very little rain, and a nice ocean breeze.

We are in an ideal location, just a few miles from the fun town of Kailua, & we are also very close to the best white sand beaches on the island, including Hapuna Beach, Kua Bay, & A-Bay, just to name a few.

What a great decision!

We (three adults and one toddler) truly enjoyed our stay at this house! The open floor plan made it easy to relax and talk while we mingled between our freshly mashed guacamole and the pool. Both bedrooms were roomy and had flat-screen tv's. The master bath has a walk-in closet, which we were able to use as a sleeping area for our toddler; the owners provide a pack & play as well as a crib, and the crib slid right right into the closet with plenty of room to spare. The house it up on a hill, which provides privacy as well as an awesome platform to view Kona's beautiful sunsets. The pool is a bit chilly but you get used to it. Having total privacy on the pool deck is an easy sell. A quick drive and you are in "downtown" Kona, where you can appreciate your good decision not to rent a condo. We were relatively close to the beaches we wanted to hit, but also didn't have far to drive to get to places like the Capt. Cook monument. Overall, no complaints! A great stay in a beautiful house. We can't wait to come back!

We had a great 2 weeks here at Kona - very relaxing. We have actually stayed here before over the past 20 years or so! It is a very nice location. We enjoyed the many geckos and the very industrious spider near the pool table - great to eat breakfast with her by the pool!
We enjoyed a snorkeling excursion with "Sea Paradise" tours & saw lots of whales and dolphins. We also had a wonderful trip with "Paradise Helicopters". Wow! The volcano was erupting and the weather was clear!
If you like Thai food, the best place we found was The Lotus Cafe up behind Costco. All made from scratch - wonderful sauces.
A good source for local dining etc. is the neighbor, Jesse, who cleans the pool on Mon. A great time, sorry I have to go back to long pants!

We had a great time here in Kona. I know the kids will have lifelong memories of our trip. We enjoyed the comfort of staying here at your house and of course the pool was a blast. We saw countless geckos around here and enjoyed their company. We left behind a few necessities and more sand buckets for the beach. Well it's time for us to head back to Alaska, hopefully we won't lose our tans right away.

We have recently acquired this beautiful, unique home. It is completely private... the place is all yours. You can keep to yourself or meet the neighbors across the street, if you like. Ask Jesse about nighttime swimming with the manta rays, for an experience you'll never forget. Or ask Keith about his fishing boat charters. The harbor is just down the road. There's so much to do, or if you feel like relaxing, I can't imagine a better place than warm breezy home in Hawaii.
We have fallen in love with this beautiful, Spanish style home that opens up to a tiled lanai, beautiful pool & the ocean beyond. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
