Description of the Kapaa vacation condo rental

This is a 372 square foot room in the Molokai building at the Islander on the Beach Resort. The resort was completely remodeled in 2005. This is a bottom floor unit that is literally 30 paces from the ocean as you can see from this picture. You will never stay in a place that is closer to the ocean than this. It has a kitchenette, two queen sized beds, handicapped accessible and adorned with Tommy Baham style furnishings. The Lobby has a business center with 3 PC's and wireless internet connectivity.

The bottom floor allows easy access out of the patio door to the beach, the nearby pool and jacuzzi area. Go to sleep every night to the sound of the waves crashing down on Kauai's east shore in your air conditioned room. Every day they drain the large jacuzzi and refill it with fresh water. This is a first class operation.

The property is a 3 star resort with an awesome pool that has a poolside Tiki Bar that was flown in from Indonesia...for cocktails as you sunbathe by the pool. The pool area has several outdoor tiki cabanas that enclose day beds for all day lounging by the pool and beach. There are restaurants, bars, shopping, movie theatre, market etc. adjacent to the property in the Coconut Market. You do not ever have to get in your car if you do not want to. There are two Breakfast joints adjacent to the unit, one of which is a classic 60's retro place that overlooks the ocean.

Everything you need is in walking distance and the quaint rustic town of Kapaa is a half mile from the property with more shopping, food, bars, Starbucks, grocery store, etc... The entire resort was completely remodeled in 2005 with a redone pool and jacuzzi complex as well travertine floors, brand new refrigerator, microwave, beds, bathroom & flat-screen TV in the room... amongst manner other upgrades.

You will not believe how quaint and laid back the resort is. There is a very high-end dining restaurant adjacent to the property on the north side and a beach front breakfast restaurant on the south side. We always extend our stay when we visit and count the days for our return. You are not going to find a better value than this in Kauai. $135 a night including taxes is a steal.

Kapaa is a small Hawaiian style rustic town right in the middle point bewteen Princeville (Hanelei) and Poipu. Kapaa has a little main street feel with restaurants, shopping, sushi bars, bars, starbucks coffee, breakfast joints etc...

This is a great place to stay on a great budget. The staff is friendly and helpful. The accomodations are clean and comfortable. In a prime location with everything at walking distance. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay at in Kapaa!
