Great time!

Tamara was great, it was like stay at your old family friend! We had private room with own bathroom and we were allowed to use her kitchen with all of it´s equipment and supplies without any problem. Parking on site and wi-fi was also great. I would definitely stay there again.

Loved it that you are a few steps from the water and, if the ocean is not too wild, you can snorkel. Also, enjoyed my daily walks along the path located alongside the ocean. The unit is located in a peaceful resort close to restaurants and shops.

Wonderful Kauai get away

The unit we stayed in was just as it was described. Clean, tidy and had everything we needed. It was centrally located and we could walk to shops and places to eat. Grocery shopping was just a short drive. The beach in front was not crowded and was clean. By staying in Kapaa, it made it easy to head to the North end of the Island or the South. It was just about the same distance. We were able to drive around and see everything and then go back on another day since things were close. We really enjoyed our stay and before we were half way through our stay we were already talking about going back. And yes, we would rent the same unit. THANK YOU BRAD AND WENDY

Family Vacation

My family and I had a wonderful time in Kauai, HI. This room offered us the same amenities as a hotel, but without the fees of a hotel. The room was clean and easy to access. The one downfall was having to go to the lobby to use the wifi. The housekeeper is super friendly and egar to help. If you want something relaxing and cheap, stay here at the Islander on the Beach.

Natasha, we own and/or manage 10 units at the Islander complex, but we did not accommodate you. You emailed, we replied immediately, but you never responded. The unit that was open for you was a ground floor, direct oceanfront unit with free WiFi inside and a ton of other amenities. Next time, if you plan on coming to Kauai again, stay with us. You will even be more satisfied, guaranteed.

We loved where the condo was everything was right around the corner . the pool was very nice and we loved the bar at the pool the beach was rocky not so great for swimming but great for lounging and and watching the waves. no elevator so we walked up stairs but was was not to many . Centrally located to everthing for driving too. Need to make sure to bring beach toys and snorkel stuff there are only beach towel ,beach chairs and cooler. No kitchen but you can use grills outside and all the cups, sliverware, plates cooking utencils are there to use .Very pretty and clean complex unit. Condo room was nice like a hotel room microwave and small refrig. couch and table and chair set inside and outside too we did not cook there got take out and eat out on the deck to look at the the fantastic view condo not diectly on the beach but you have a beautiful oecan view

Lovely apt. We shared with family. We took the hide-a-bed which slept well. Loved listening to the ocean at night and going out to sit on the lanai. Hot tub and swimming pool great. Although beach disappointing we did enjoy watching the waves, just not walking in them.

Right on the beach

The location of this property is what makes it great - right on the beach! Falling asleep listening to the waves crash, and then waking up to the sunrise - simply perfect. Don't expect "Sheraton" or "Hyatt Regency" like amenities, this place is older, but to be honest I liked it better! We visited the 'fancy' places while we were on the island, and they didn't offer much more that you couldn't rent etc. Long story short, a great place to store your gear and sleep, but if you're looking for a place to stay (read lie by the pool etc.) the entire trip, look elsewhere.

Kapaa Condo

We spent a week in this unit on Kauai. It's location provided an ocean view and the steady sound of the surf. The room was just right for the two of us and the hot tub and barbecues added to the quality of our visit. The unit was as advertised and I would recommend it to anyone. P. Hurley

It was as advertised: clean, attractive and pleasant. More than that it is located next door to shops and eating places. Good beaches nearby, the airport is 10 min. away as is the main town of Lihue. It is easy to drive to the north coastal attractions as well as the Poipu/Koloa areas to the southwest. Kapaa 1/2 mile to the north has restaurants, Safeway, gasoline, bakery and other stores for your needs. Don't expect to park by your building as the lot was quite congested when we were there.
