Description of the Kapoho vacation home rental

Honu Kai is totally redone Hawaiiana style beach home across from the entrance to the famous Kapoho Tidepools. The house is totally stocked with everything you need to enjoy the tidepools and exploring the local area. The house has a jacuzzi, bicycles, snorkeling equipment, hammock, gas grill, satellite tv and dvds. The view from the front porch of the Pacific will keep you coming back.

Our second guest cottage, Hula Cove, sits right on the water just across the street from Honu Kai. This studio cottage is real Hawaii with a surf board on the front of the house. It sleeps two with a queen size bed and futon. It can be added to the Honu Kai rental for someone seeking extra privacy. Rates from $139 to $189.

Area Description

Kapoho tidepools are in the Puna district with the closest town being Pahoa which is about a 15 minute drive away. In Pahoa you'll find the grocery stores, natural food store, yoga studio, gas station and restaurants. The area surrounding Kapoho is tropical jungle with Green Mountain ( an extinct volcano) just down the street. This is NOT the Kona coast or Maui's Kaanapali area. This is Hawaii from the 60s complete with a black sand clothing optional beach, Kehena, 15 minutes, a holistic retreat for yoga,meditation and vegan menu 15 minutes away also.
