The bungalow consists of four rooms( with attached baths) , dining , drawing , lobby , powder room , lush green gardens (3 ) , terrace ,and a well equipped kitchen(with microwave ,fridge ,cooking range etc ) where you can prepare meals of your choice or we can provide you with a food package as given below . All housekeeping (including linen and towels etc ) facilities are provided by us .

Our caretaker would be more than happy to assist you in all other things required for your comfortable stay . Also there is ample parking space for 4 vehicles. and yes, let me tell you that this villa is just about ten minutes walking distance from the mall (shopping area in Kausali) . We have three tv sets with cable and also facilty for outdoor games like badminton etc and indoor games like chess , carom board . Also there is a music system with old classical collection ( like ghulam ali ) available or you can play or your own music . We also have a small collection of books that our caretaker could lend you for reading during your stay . Bar-be-cue and bonfire can also be arranged in the lawns on request .

Our modified Heritage is a comfort abode for the old, and a relaxation place for the young. The whole villa consists of five luxury bedrooms with attached baths(one reserved for us ) with hot showers running 24 hours, western style toilets. There is a huge and spacious lobby with adjoining dining area and a kitchen. A Huge lawn surrounded by lush green hills bathed in golden rays, filling your lungs with pine scented air helps your body to release toxins and rejuvenate.


Facilities : We have a fully equipped kitchen with uninterrupted electricity and running water, cooking range , microwave oven and a refrigerator. We also have facilities for games like cricket , bedminton , chess , caromboard, table tennis ,etc ,for your entertainment. House keeping includes everyday changing of linen and towels, cleaning of rooms and laundry service. Day & night watchman service is also available for your security.


History : The Homestead Bungalow has a history and a character of its own. The whole estate was owned by Lala Duni Chand Ambalvi. Freedom Fighter and a national leader, Duni Chand Ambalvi was an eminent advocate of his times. In the days of British rule, the courts used to shift from Ambala to Kasauli, so he rented the accommodation at rupee 1 /month initially and later went on to buy the whole hill for himself and his family.

Nearest Airport: Chandigarh (65 km) and Shimla (73 km). Jagson Airlines flies daily to Shimla. Indian Airlines and Jet Airways have flights to Chandigarh (65 kms). Taxis & Luxury Buses: Available from Delhi, Chandigarh, Kalka and Shimla.

Thanks Shikha , We had a wonderful week . For all the guests reading this review , please note its the best and most comfortable place to stay in Kasauli . We relaxed for two days , took walks in kasauli .Other days we could do sightseeing in simla , chail . It was as they said " home away from home " for us . Thanks again , we shall surely visit soon . Well , we guys( three couples and our toddlers ) were there with our respective better halves on NEW years eve. all i can say is the we had the most peaceful ,relaxing time as our kids were busy playing games in the sun (welcome change from living in delhi !! ) and we were happy just bumming out the whole day !!! The continuos mandir kee ghanthi is especially soothing in the evenings !!! and YASHWANT BHAIYA ROCKS (he's the caretaker )!!!  more...

i had not thought that first the weather would be so good in kasauli in june and next that this villa would be sucha dream house . my children cannot stay without ac and had gone with me on the condition that we might leave if they didmn't like the place . rather they wanted to stay for two more day but unfortunately the place had already been booked. The caretaker is more than helpful. Listeing to the owner's prized collection of ghulam ali and sitting in the lawn and going through their library was the most amazing experience for me . the children were busy playing in the lawns as there were provisions for games.All in ALL i had a complete rejuvanation with home food and absolute calm in the hills of Kasauli and in Homestead villa.  more...
