Description of the Kaunakakai vacation home rental

We are located on the pristine Southeastern shore of Molokai.

Visit us if you want to see what Old Hawaii was like and if you crave privacy and seclusion. Our tropical estate is beachfront and we have a Beach House perched on a knoll overlooking the channel between Molokai and Maui.

The view of the outer islands is truly awe inspiring!

We also have a sweet A-Frame Cottage that's perfect for a honeymoon or an escape from the stresses of the everyday world.

Chances are your footprints will be the only ones in the sand.

If you can't make it, do the next best thing: pick up a copy of MOLOKA'I NUI AHINA, a novel set on our tropical estate.

We are beachfront and the trade winds coming off the channel keep our tropical estate cool. We're at the base of one of the highest mountains on the island and everything is lush and tropical.

There's great fishing right off our coast and good swimming and snorkeling.

The whales breach right in our harbor from winter to early spring.

Bring your fishing pole for some great skipjack and barracuda right off our coast! The local restaurants are great, including Kualapuu Cook House and the oceanfront restaurant at Hotel Molokai. There's great hiking at nearby Halawa Valley and the surf is usually good at Rock Point, which is only 4 miles due east.

I can't recommend this place highly enough for anyone who wants to escape the rat race and leave their troubles and worries behind. I was in Waikiki for several days and the crowds got to me. Not here on Molokai. This is a HUGE estate and the scenery is breathtaking, the beaches empty, and the water warm. I put out my fishing line and caught a 20-pound skipjack within the hour! I stayed in the BEACH HOUSE--a great view of Maui from the lanai in this rustic home that sits on a knoll overlooking the channel. If you want a GREAT ESCAPE, this is it.
