Looking for a great affordable island getaway where you can really feel like you are far away from the hustle and bustle of your hectic life' This charming one bedroom cottage is perched on the beautiful Puna coastline where you can whale and dolphin watch from the comfort of your own living room. This is "old" Hawaii - no condos or high rises here! Just a beautiful lava coastline and beautiful views of whales (in winter months), dolphins, & sea turtles! There is an ocean front lanai/patio with table and chairs for outdoor dining. An oceanfront built in barbecue is available for guests to use. Where the cool ocean breezes and the tranquil sounds of the forest create a romantic inspiring setting.
With a double bed in the bedroom and a day bed in the living room, this lovely cottage can accommodate three people (a couple plus one) very comfortably. Rattan and wicker furnishings, ceiling fans, all-tile bath with porcelain tub, kitchen with breakfast bar and large walk-in closet. This cottage has the feel of "old" Hawaii!
Area: One of the most beautiful bays in East Hawaii with double rainbows and where whales and dolphin frolic. This is a great spot to stay if you are looking to be within a short drive of all that the East side has to offer. Only 20 minutes to Hilo, 20 minutes to Kapoho Tide Pools, 35 minutes to Volcano National Park, and it is always great to come back to the ocean after a day of exploring!

This property is a perfect location to have the "rural" and oceanfront feel, but only short drives to all the great things to do and see on the East side - 30 minutes to Volcano National Park, Kapoho Tide Pools, 15 minutes to Lava Tree State Park, 20 minutes to Hilo, botanical gardens, helicopter tours at the Hilo airport, 30 minutes to Kehena Black Sand Beach.
