After a day of fun in the Silver Valley who wants to be cooped up in a tiny, over-priced hotel room? After all you came to Kellogg to enjoy yourself.

What you want is the affordable comfort of the spacious 1856 square foot Birdsong Cottage.

With 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths, a full kitchen, living room and basement, the Birdsong Cottage offers you and your guests the clean, quiet, affordable comfort you want.

Both bedrooms on the main floor feature comfortable queen-size beds. The third bedroom on the 2nd floor sports a bunk bed and a full-size futon.

Relax in one of the four big comfy recliners in the living room while you watch cable TV.

An unfinished, but clean and dry basement provides extra space if you need it. Keep your equipment downstairs out of your way. You'll also find the full-sized washer and dryer in the basement.

Cell coverage is excellent, so if you brought along your wireless Internet card, you'll be able to surf the net, check your email and post your latest pictures on Facebook.

Let's not forget the large fenced back yard with patio and Gas Grill! You can almost smell the steaks sizzling.

It can get hot in Kellogg on a summer afternoon, so both floors are kept cool with window mounted air conditioning.

Have you ever been to Kellogg? It's the only city in the world founded by a jackass! (They say some of his descendants still live in the valley.) Kellogg was once the center of the mining industry in northern Idaho.

Since the mines closed the local population has turned to tourism for income, capitalizing on the sweeping mountain views and the excellent skiing. Hundreds of miles of old logging and mining roads provide endless enjoyment for mountain bikers and four-wheelers.

At over 3 miles long, the gondola to Silver Mountain resort is the longest single car gondola in the world. It, and a full day of skiing are less than a mile from the porch of the Birdsong Cottage.

Kellogg is the midway point on the Trail of the Coeur D’Alenes. Which makes the Birdsong Cottage the perfect overnight stop. The cycling trail is renowned for it's excellent condition, and has become a favorite of many cyclists.

Kellogg is a quaint little town that sports a wide range of resturants, from Terrible Ediths, to The Moose Creek Grill to the fine dining experiences offered at the Gondola Village. And none of them are more than a mile or two from your front door when you stay at the Birdsong Cottage.

Hiking, fishing, skiing, mountain biking, four-wheeling and cycling are moments away. The famous Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes runs through the center of town.

Spend a day at Silverwood and it's premier collection of rollercoasters and water activities. It's only 49 minutes away. Lake Coeur d'Alene is only 35 minutes distant. And there are golf courses in both directions along I-90.
