Description of the Kennebunkport vacation cottage rental

August 22 through 29 is now AVAILABLE for Summer 2009!!!

Our family's cottage is a wonderful mixture of the old and new. Knotty pine throughout the bedrooms and living room, but modern amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. A fabulous (and rare!) side yard for badmitten, horseshoes, or croquet!

Amenities: Gas stove, Dishwasher, Garbage disposal, Washer/dryer , Microwave, Toaster, Coffemaker, Refrigerator, Cooking Utensils provided, Charcoal Grill, Gas Grill, Cable TV, VCR/DVD Player, Local phone service,Outdoor shower, Livingroom with Fireplace (wood not provided).

New Kitchen - gas stove, dishwasher, garbage disposal.

Bedrooms: Master bedroom has a double bed. Additional 2 bedrooms have two twin beds each. There is a sleeper couch in the living room.

Area Description

Located in Kennebunkport, Goose Rocks Beach is one of the most family friendly beaches in Maine. This secluded area has three miles of beaches surrounded by dunes and covered in fine white sand. It is surrounded by fragile and scenic salt-water marshes and wetlands. Timber Island is located on the north end of the beach and can be reached during low tide.

There is a General Store within walking distance and the Tides Inn by the Sea is a minute's walk down the street.

Dock Square and Cape Porpoise are extremely close offering restaurants, crafts, antique, shops and other entertainment.

Activities (on site or nearby): The Tides Inn by the Sea is less than a block down the road offering meals and cocktails in a beautiful victorian setting. Excellent restaurants nearby in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Biddeford. Art, craft, and antique galleries in many of the surrounding towns. Play golf or go horseback riding. Spend the day at Goose Rocks Beach or any of the other beautiful beaches nearby.
