Description of the Kenora vacation cottage rental

RENOVATIONS COMPLETE - NOW AVAILABLE!
This privately owned two-bedroom furnished cabin is situated on apoximately 120ft of shoreline on picturesque Winnipeg River in Northwestern Ontario's "Sunset Country". The occupancy is 5 people (6 maximum if someone chooses to utilize the sofa!) and is fully equipped with linens, towels, appliances and dishes. This is a family owned retreat that we choose to rent out when we can't be there. It's our home away from home. The wood burning stove is more than adequate comfort for those chilly evenings, but there is also electric baseboard heating available. With a spacious deck and canopied area at the cabin, another smaller deck area with dock on the waterfront, front lawn and a fire pit for your use, there is no lack of areas on site to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and sunsets afforded by the Southwest exposure. With the water warming early in the season, and a small sandy area that serves as a beach alongside the dock, this vacation spot would be convenient for family with younger children.(Dependent on normal water levels, which fluctuate yearly on the river)

A short 15-20 minute drive from downtown Kenora, the cabin is fully accessible by road and located in a quiet, rural area with good year-round neighbors on each side, who also enjoy the quiet of the area. (So, if you are looking for a place to "party", this may not be the place you are looking for!) The cabin overlooks a beautiful and quiet channel on the Winnipeg River, with excellent fishing and swimming on site! We have also had hunters use the cabin in the late fall. Kenora is home to many summer residents, and there are no shortage of ammenities for visitors to our area. Kenora is host to many attractions such as The Kenora Bass International, Harbourfest weekend, Canada Day celebrations, the Kenora Harbourfront Concert series, Farmers' Market, among many events that draw visitors from all over.

With downtown Kenora a short 15-20 minute drive away, guests have access to all the fine restaurants (greek, italian, steaks and grills), excellent shopping, a cinema and museum, parks, as well as numerous community summer events, boating & water sports, and most anything that you could dream of for your vacation in "Sunset Country".

• Required Stay: Saturday to Saturday (weekly and monthly bookings only)
   
• Lodging Tax: N/A
   
• Deposits: A deposit of $400 is required for any booking, and bookings will not be confirmed until your payment has been received. Balance of the rental PLUS a $400. security deposit is due immediately on arrival. All payments must be made by certified cheque, draft or money order. Bookings made within 30 days prior to the rental must be accompanied by the total rental amount in addition to the $400 security deposit. Any damage caused in the cabin or on the property will be charged against this deposit.
   
• Other Fees: The person making the booking must be at least 25 years old, although younger guests are most certainly welcome if they are accompanying the persons making the booking. No more than six guests can stay for any booking unless explicitly discussed and noted in advance. In light of the fact that this is a private rental, and not a commercial venture, we reserve the right to decline rental offers for any reason.
