Great Stay at 501 Avenue A

This home was such a lovely and quiet reprieve from the noise in Key West just 5 minutes away. The views of the Gulf from all rooms was wonderful! We spent lots of time hanging out on the huge screened porch watching birds and the water. Great sunsets, too. We enjoyed walking through the mangroves down to the private waterfront and kayaked around the gulf. Everything was available at the house for our comfort, with plenty of room for everybody. The pool table was a fun touch. Very private and serene, would definitely stay again!

Superb Vacation spot!

This home was the perfect spot for us! We had a party of 9 adults and we had a great time. The beach was pristine, exclusive and provided a great place to play volleyball, badmitton, bocce, go fishing, or float on an intertube in the ocean! The ocean was beautiful, warm, and wonderful while we were there, but I would recommend water shoes because the ocean has lots of sea-grass and coral below the surface. We saw a number of interesting creatures from cow fish, grunt, anemones, cormorants, heron, sea birds, and annals. The house has a large spa-pool which fit all 9 of us easily. It was not really big enough to "swim" in, but pleasant for cooling off. The firepit was wonderful. We used the electric grill more because the gas grill was old and had broken grates. We enjoyed the porch the most--the screen keeps out the bugs and allows you to bring the inside-outside. We travelled to Key West, went reef fishing, and had a nature hike in the nearby state park. Lynn was very nice and was able to help us out whenever we had a question.

A piece of paradise :)

We rented Lynn's home last March with two other families. We had kids ranging from three months to the eldest who turned eleven while we were there. Not sure why we didn't review this sooner but didn't want to miss out on letting people know just how perfect it was. This was a return trip to the Keys for us and we absolutely love the area. The house was a great base for exploring the many Keys as well as a perfect spot to hang out at "home" and enjoy all that the house and the beach had to offer. The home is lovely, spacious, private and very well equipped. We spent many afternoons on the screened terrace enjoying the breeze and the sounds of our kids having the time of their lives. The trip to "our beach house" is still a popular conversation item for us and many many wonderful memories will stay with us forever. Thanks Lynn for sharing your home and for being a delight to rent from.

Great Family Vacation

We had a blast, great place to bring in the family and relax with the kids and grandkids. Snorling right out from the house, lobstering and fishing. Got a chance of a lifetime seeing sea turtles hatch. Had a kayak to use and bikes to ride, everyone could just come and go as they pleased. Shopping was not right there but 15 miles either way was just a short ride. We all felt right at home, no one wanted to leave so we stayed an extra day. I would recommend this house to anyone. Owner was a pleasure to rent from.

Family vacation

Beautiful and spacious home with constant ocean breeze. Very private with great ocean views. Easy access to fishing bridge and sunset viewing. Loved our stay. Grass in ocean required buying some swim shoes. Would stay here again if I returned to the Keys.

Peaceful and Private

The house was great! Spacious and clean, well appointed with all the amenities in the description. Lynn was friendly, helpful and so easy to deal with. The hotub was wonderful and very relaxing. The screened porch was the ideal place to relax and watch the sea turtles come in at night and lay their eggs....such a unique experience! Overall, it was the relaxing vacation our family had been looking for. Thank you Lynn :-)

Calm and Quiet

This home is a great place to stay if you want to explore by kayak in the Long Key State Park. A very quiet place with great sun rise greeting you each day. A nice ocean breeze starts at about 8:00am. Very private too. Well maintained and lots of landscaping. Great beach front with no view of neighbors. Long walks and sandy landings at low tide within walking distance. Shopping, groceries, and stuff like that are south about 20 minutes. Not much around the location. Good food south too in Marathon. We loved it and the owner was very nice. You will love the place as it is decorated to the hilt and has high cathedral ceilings making it seem like a lodge. Sleeps a ton of people with separate rooms and a great suite on the ground level for couples guests that have a small child . Pricey but you get what you pay for. A large hot tub on the beach makes for great afternoon cocktails while watching the palms sway in the wind. Local bird population is mostly the only thing you see walk by on the beach. Nude hot tub lounging is a must!!

99% Perfect vacation

This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at. Spacious, clean, great views, with well appointed kitchens. Wonderful pool and courtyard. BBQ grill was a little old and dirty but was still very functional. A couple of maintenence/appliances issues were handled amazingly quickly . We will definately stay there again.

What a wonderful beautiful home & place to stay! Lynn was very informational and a pleasant person to work with. The home exceeded our needs & was accommodating with all the amenities we needed . The kayak was a blast for my kids who were timid at first, but then they were on their own! The beach was very calming & relaxing & the sunrises were spectacular..& a short walk to the bridge for the sunsets was well worth it, but bring your bug spray & a glass of wine! The wave-pool/hot tub was very refreshing & a lot of fun for the kids! Fishing was fun from the bridge! We will definitely be back just as soon as we can to stay our new permanent vacation home away from home & hope to see our new friend in the Keys again! Beautiful Vacation Property!

We just returned home from an awesome week staying at this property! The house was huge and had everything we could have wanted with gorgeous views from eveywhere. The wrap around porch with the hammocks provided a relaxing spot after each day of activities. Very peaceful with beautiful tropical landscaping. This property exceeded our expectations! The water is much closer to the house than we expected. We didn't want to leave. Lynn was very helpful and gave us a lot of information on things to do. Very reasonably priced. We hope to stay again sometime. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Great retreat

This is a secluded home with lots of privacy. The home itself is very nice, spacious, and the Air Conditioning work very well. The View of the beach and sea is spectacular. The Hot Tub / Spa is a delight. Many little extras and the owner is very helpful if you have any questions about the surrounding area and attractions. We were give our security deposit back during our stay, and that was a pleasant surprise to get it back before we even left. I would rent this place again with no hesitation.

We had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect. The house and especially the large screened in porch were both perfect. The kids loved playing on the beach and enjoyed the large spa. Lynn was wonderful and was available for any questions. We would definitely come back.

Nice Family Vacation Spot

We reciently rented this wonderful spacious home in the Flordia Keys. You couldn't have asked for a more perfect home for multiple families. We enjoyed the wonderful view of the ocean from the comfort of the screened in wrap around porch. My kids had a blast catching hermit crabs and gathering coconuts from around this beautiful property. My husband and I especially enjoyed taking the Kayak out and catching lobsters right off shore. We were very successful and had a feast on the 20+ lobsters we caught. The weather was wonderful and I highly recommend this home.

Total relaxation with gorgeous view!

We just spent one of the most indulgent weeks on this lovely property. It's right on the ocean front with a incredible view. We enjoyed the kayak daily and saw sea turtles, sting rays and jelly fish. The sunrises can be seen directly from the master bedroom. The wrap around screened in porch was perfect for enjoying meals or playing games or reading while watching the pelicans dive for their dinner and listening to the waves. Very spacious and comfortable accommodations! The spa was a perfect way to end the day. We highly recommend this place if you enjoy peace, tranquility and seclusion.

Perfect Vacation!

This great house was the perfect spot -- plenty of room for 9, elegantly renovated, yet beachy and comfortable -- and complete with beautiful, inviting grounds and a 'private tropical island' feel. We really enjoyed rowing the furnished kayak to several small reefs directly behind the house filled with corals, sponges, tropical fish, crab, lobster, and the occasional professor with students (who gave great lectures from their boats and didn't mind outside participation). Guided snorkel & scuba trips to the big reefs were minutes away, and we were surprised and delighted to see huge turtles, rays, parrotfish, barracuda, sharks, giant tarpon, schools of tropical fish and various brightly colored corals. We highly recommend this activity! We also spent lots of time walking the sandbars and relaxing on the hammocks or wraparound screened porch overlooking the ocean. This was a vacation we would love to repeat! Thanks for the memories!
