Other Vacation Rental Amenities
The key attraction is the beach...an easy two minute walk from the cottage...you can hear the surf from the cottage. The beach is never crowded (like Myrtle Beach) and off season, you often will see only a handful of people on the ten mile beach.
Nature provides a wonderful spectator sport...pelicans diving for food, dolphins frolicking just beyond the breakers, and shells galore. The beach is gentle sloping sand...ideal for all ages.
In the numerous lagoons of Kiawah, while on a hike or bike ride, you'll often see alligators suning themselves on the banks. Surf fishing and casting nets for shrimp is popular with many.
Deep sea fishing, can be arrainged at Bohicket Marina (about five miles by road from our cottage). The ocean is about 15 minutes by fast boat from the dock.

There is no place like Kiawah! It is beautiful, safe, and lots to do. Our stay on the island is always a fun, restful, yet reviving experience as we get exercise and sun. We will return again and again!

This was our first time to Kiawah Island but definitely not our last. The area is so peaceful and serene, an excellent place to recharge your batteries from the hectic lifestyle we live. The home was gorgeous and equipped with everything you would need for a vacation or at home. The kitchen is modern and roomy, the bathrooms are update and beautiful and the beds are comfortable. The home is so close to one of the most gorgeous beaches we have vacationed at. It was a wonderful adventure each morning to go bike riding around the island to see which animal creatures would be greeting you along the way. From turtles to ospreys to alligators, there was always something of interest to see. We didn't play golf on this trip, but would definitely come back to venture out on the beautiful courses around the area. You certainly would not regret staying at this home if you're looking for a restful vacation.

Beautiful home, you'll never want to leave

You will absolutely not believe me when I say that we left our cameras, phones, electronics alone on the beach and nothing was bothered at all. Every day was filled with shell hunts and waves. House was equipped with all our needs except cookie sheets and a pitcher that didnt leak. Plenty of towels, so nice being able to wash everything too and not bring a pile of laundry home. Such a quiet neighborhood. We also rented a bike. YOu will definitely want to bring a bike along or rent one. Alot of the island can be reached by bike. Bring plenty of sunscreen. The walk to the beach was easy and the road traffic is minimum, mostly bikes. Deck is huge. We didnt use it, preferring the air conditioning instead after being in the hot sun. Bring beach chairs and buckets for sand castle fun. We simply enjoyed everything about the house and loved that the kids had a separate bathroom. We will be back. This beach was amazing!! Dont forget to sign their guest book. I enjoyed reading others comments about the house

Peaceful cottage by the sea

We enjoyed every minute of our time spent at Ward and Judy's cottage. It accomodated our needs for the week, and we really appreciated the proximity to the beach. We do hope we'll have a chance to return to Kiawah and we'll definitely want this cottage again.
