Description of the Kihei vacation condo rental

This unit is managed by the owners personally, not through the onsite office. This unit is NOT directly in front of the pool like the other ocean front unit A8. No walking across the street to get to the beach.

Aloha and welcome to our beautiful Maui BEACH FRONT Condo located in sunny North Kihei at Kihei Sands Beach Condominiums, Maui, unit A9. This unit itself is the beachfront unit.

This unit is a newly remodeled Maui BEACH FRONT condo. This luxurious condo offers FREE high speed internet, Travertine tile throughout, painted crown molding, new bedroom carpet, brand new furniture in the bedroom, living room and dining room. The bedding provided is a "Belgian Damask" firm support mattress with a soft pillow top. You will fall sleep easily on the 500 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.

Beautiful cherrywood stained hangers (not the plastic hangers). The kitchen is stocked with plenty of beautiful dinnerware from Pier One, storage containers, glassware, etc. With all of the 40 + assorted spices and cooking oils provided, you are able to cook your favorite meals or try making some local cuisine. The bathroom is tiled with a walk in shower. (For those who need some extra support, there is a handrail in the shower.)

There is an AC and new ceiling fan in the living room and a new ceiling fan in the bedroom. For your convienence and safety, a keyless door lock has been installed. We also provide snorkel gear, boogie board, a cooler, and tennis rackets (to be used at your own risk). Enjoy the 26" flat screen TV, DVD/CD player, video library and BOSE cd/radio. We also have a safe in the room for your valuables.

Area Description

This Maui beach front condo is located at Kihei Sands Beach Condominiums and is less than 10 miles from the airport, it is centrally located to all of your island activities on Maui. Upon your arrival, you will be asked to check in with the front office just to say you arrived. Then proceed to your long awaited home away from home.

If you're hungry from your trip and don't want to go grocery shopping right away, there is a GREAT bar and sandwhich shop next door, "Dina's"...hint, they have the best Mai Tai's!! There is also a general store which sells dairy products, bread, cereal, soap, deli meat, sun tan lotion and any other items that you may need quickly or you can go directly to the local Safeway grocery store, COSTCO or even WAL-MART.

The grounds at Kihei Sands Beach Condominiums have recently taken on a new look as well. There are lounge chairs beach front along with the pool and BBQ area. The best part of all of this is THE BEACH! It is the longest uninterrupted sandy beach in all of Maui!! You will be amazed at how close our Maui beach front condo is to the sand and the water. The sand is a golden-yellow, soft, and is excellent for romantic walks at night or to lay out during the day. There is a great reef close by to do some snorkeling and swimming with the turtles.

After searching for weeks we finally found a condo that REALLY IS ON THE BEACH!!! I counted the steps myself and it's 13 from the Lanai to the sand. The owners have done a fantastic job remodeling their unit - it's clean and fun and they have a closet full of stuff they allow guests to use, like a nice Becker 8' surfboard, 2 sets of snorkel gear, binoculars and more! Also, Kihei Sands is a very nice place in general. The folks are all friendly and we made many friends at the nightly sunset barbeques.

The view is specacular, couldn't be better positioned, and walking right off the lanai to the sand & beach was dreamy!! This unit is amazing! We defintely got more than we expected for the price we paid. The details and quality is not what you normally get for a vacation rental. We were so inspired, he proposed after we came back! To truly appreciate our feelings, you will need to visit the condo and read our comments we left there!

We stayed here the first week of Feb 07. Sorry Sue for the delay in posting this comment- we've been in "Maui withdrawal". This unit is not only 13 steps from the sand but only about 29 to the water and was better than we expected. Everything you need is right there and everyone in the complex is great. The complex is located just far enough out of the heart of Kihei to be quiet yet only a few minutes away. We used the snorkel gear and went up the road about 8 miles to milepost 14- this was on the advice of a couple of the "regulars" at Kihei Sands. Great snorkeling there. Private, quiet, cozy with good neighbors- can't ask for more than that- along with a stunning view and the sound of the ocean all night long. In the morning get up, walk out on the lanai and sit on the ocean's doorstep. Thanks, Sue & Tony, for keeping such a great place- we plan to return. In our opinion this is the best unit at Kihei Sands.

Our three weeks in Maui was near heavenly thanks to our wonderful accommodations. The condo is beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything one could need for permanent housekeeping. The really stunning thing though is that it is so few steps to the sand and water. When we weren't seeing the sights of Maui, we enjoyed sitting on the lanai or stretching out on the lawn chairs and cooling off frequently with a refreshing swim in water that was calm over a sandy, gently sloping beach. It was so nice to go to sleep at night on a firm bed and wake in the morning to the sound of the surf.
The complex is small and everyone was so friendly and helpful. We met lots of nice and interesting people. Many were owners and others repeat visitors. With the condo right at beach front, it was easy to take advantage of the shared barbecues, the pool and lots of daytime or evening socializing.
We loved Maui and Kihei Sands. All the beaches are so beautiful, and the snorkeling is great. Mahalo for making your condo available to us. You were wonderful hosts.

My now husband and I came to Maui to get married an honeymoon. The location of this condo was great, being centrally located allowed us to maximize our time wisely. The ammenities were extradinary!!! The snorkle gear, boogie board, coolers, spices, toiletries. Oh yeah the ring cleaner was great as well! The beach was fabulous for relaxing. Dina's, the bar a short walk away, was great! Freindly and fast service with a smile. I could go on forever...this was a great place and I a positive if we come back we'll be staying here again!
