Description of the Killingly vacation cottage rental

Happy House is a fully furnished yellow bungalow located on a small lakeside culdesac. This summer cottage is a little bit of happieness tucked into the northeastern corner of Connecticut. Our cottage retreat affords sleeping for a family of six with a pristine lake, Lake Alexander, in full view from the sunroom. The lake is two miles long and approximately a mile wide, suitable for sailing but power boats are not allowed--maintaining a peaceful quiet atmosphere. A dedicated dock and waterside patio area allow for swimming, fishing, picnicing, and boating. The entry road to the community allows for evening walks and bicycling for the young and old.

Area Description

The surrounding area offers eaterys of all types with modern day shopping at the next highway intersection about four miles away. The neighboring city of Putnam, CT is known for it's antique stores. The famous scenic Route 169 runs north and south through the area and has many farms, older archetectual homes and little shops to explore. The neighboring towns of Woodstock and Pomfret hold historic significance.

Vacation Rental Policies

Payment Options: Money Order, Personal Check
Check In: 2 p.m.
Check Out: 11 a.m.
Required Stay: Saturday to Saturday
Deposits: $425.00 due at time of returning signed contract along with seperate check for $200.00 as a damage deposit. The damage deposit will be returned within two weeks of your completed vacation if the property suffers no damage.
Other Fees: The remaining portion of your fee is expected at your arrival time. We like to meet our renters with the keys as they arrive.

Thank you so much for sharing your property with us. We will indeed be back next year to expand our investiagtions of the area. Also enjoyed the neighbors although they mostly kept to themselves.
