Description of the Killington vacation apartment rental

Weekends: $150/night; Midweek: Mid-week: 2 nights $250, 3 nights $325, 4 nights $400, 5 nights $450

BEAUTIFUL, well-equipped and furnished 2 bedroom apartment in Bridgewater, VT: 10 minutes to Killington Skyship or Woodstock; 15-25 minutes to Okemo, Killington Main or Suicide Six. A centrally convenient, cozy and very comfortable spot.

Newly completed two-level apt.in 200 year old house. Sleeps 4 (+ futon, if negotiated.) Kitchen includes new fridge, range, microwave, dishwasher, w/d, toaster oven, coffee maker, etc. LR includes 32" flat screen with DVD player, gas fireplace and futon. Bath includes marble tile with radiant heat. BRs (upstairs) have new beds, sitting and writing areas. Convenient parking at entrance. Finish work in butternut, cherry and pine. 14 private acres available for cross country skiing, 2 sledding slopes. A really nice place to stay.

$150/night, holidays and weekends; $100/night, mid-week. VT Lodging Tax 9% and refundable damage deposit $200. Multiple holiday night discounts. Currently rented Jan. 30-Feb. 2, Feb. 13-16, and Feb. 27-Mar. 2.

Area Description

Bridgewater is on Route 4, a main East-West Vermont road between Rutland and White River Junction, Vermont. Bridgewater is also between Killington and Woodstock, on Route 4, and about 20 minutes from Okemo Ski Area via Routes 100 & 100A South.

Route 4 traverses a very scenic valley in the Green Mountains, and in addition to skiing in the winter and foliage in the fall, there are many local attractions. Woodstock is 7 miles East, and in addition to its photogenic qualities, is home to the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park and many other sites of interest. Beyond Woodstock is scenic Quechee and Quechee Gorge. To the west, Killington is an all-season resort, with lots of summer activities and a dynamite classical music festival in July and early August. Going south from Bridgewater Corners, one is soon in a picturesque land of lakes on Route 100, and there is the Coolidge National Homestead only 10 minutes away on Route 100A. The area is full of back roads which vie with one another for the most beautiful in all seasons.

Bridgewater is in the center of one of the most beautiful areas of Vermont.

The 5 acre rear field of the property is circled by a track for walking in summer, and suitable for cross-country skiing in winter. It is bordered by the Ottaquechee River to the South, and Bridgewater Park to the North. The park has a tennis court, ball field, and picnic area.There are overall 15 private acres with two slopes for sledding and all available for cross-country skiing.
