The phenomenal Mystic Dunes Resort and Golf Club opened its greens summer of 2001 and is located just 2 miles south of the Walt Disney World Resort on Old Lake Wilson Road/CR545.

The course was designed by Champions Tour professional and NBC golf analyst, Gary Koch. Challenging yet fun, this course consists of two distinctly different layouts that take advantage of the unique topography, offering the golfer a fantastic and memorable experience.

Splash away or simply relax at one of four inviting resort pools, including the newly expanded Dunes Lagoon, a two-acre recreation area featuring a two-story water slide anchored by a 30-foot tall rock wall overlooking a massive 148,000 gallon pool, plus over 17,000 square feet of deck space, ten private cabanas, a sandy beach play area, and a sport court.

Other on-site recreational options include three lighted tennis courts, a children 's playground, basketball court, arcade room with a Ping-Pong table, an 18-hole miniature golf course, and bicycle rentals.

Nice but not great., April 12, 2009

The reviews from other folks don't give the property much credit. First of all you need to past the check-in process which is a joke!!! Our unit was 2Br/2ba in Building 22. The unit was very clean and everything was functional. The property has a very nice lagoon pool and sports courts along with a basic 18 hole mini golf. The crown jewel of the resort is the golf course!!!We did not like the push on timeshare sales, that was very obvious every day with golf carts taking would be buyers on tours...the issue is most of these folks couldn't afford to rent one of these units let alone buy one.

We arrived late & had no trouble with the late night check-in procedure. We were impressed with the the resort itself..from the fountains & gated entrance to the grounds. We stayed in a 2bdr/2 btr condo. The condo was tastefully decorated & the beds were very comfortable...The owner was very nice & easy to communicate with..Will definately consider returning for another stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mystic Dunes Resort. The property had all the amenities from swimming, tennis, ping pong, bike rentals to golf. The resort is a very nice and relaxing place to stay. The rooms are hugh with plenty of room for the family.

Mystic Dunes was great! The condo was very clean and the grounds very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Many Happy Return was prompt and nice to deal with. I would gladly stay there again and deal with Many Happy Returns!
