Description of the Kittery vacation home rental

The house is a six-room, fully-furnished, two-bedroom ranch. The house sits on a 1/2 acre lot along with a single detached garage. The grassy lot runs along the rocky coastline of Gerrish Island on Sisters Point in the town of Kittery Point. Cape Neddick, Boon Island and the Isles of Shoals are visible from the house. The bedrooms, dining area and living room have hardwood floors. The enclosed porch has wall-to-wall carpeting. The kitchen and bathroom have vinyl inlaid flooring. The sleeping accomodations consist of a queen-sized bed in the ocean-side bedroom, twin beds in the front bedroom, and full-sized futon in the enclosed porch. Linens and towels are not provided; blankets and pillows are. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a self-cleaning electric stove, frost-free refrigerator and a microwave oven. The bathroom has a shower but no tub. (No smoking, no pets)

Area Information

Two beaches (Crescent and Seapoint) are within walking distance. Fort Foster and its beach located at the southern end of Gerrish Island are within a 10 minute car ride. The Kittery outlet stores are four miles away. Five miles to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Boston and Portland are one hour away.

THE PERFECT VACATION

October 11, 2012

This property is the perfect vacation spot if you want to get away from it all! The house is very clean and cute as a button. Many updates have been made since our last trip in 2007, all of which are beautiful. Waking up each morning to the sound of the surf and the beautiful sunrises makes every day special. The northeast is my favorite part of our great country and this vacation rental has made out trips "out east" sublime!

Our vacation at this wonderful spot went beautiful. First it was only a 45min ride from home which may it easy to get too. We found the house to be very clean. The garage was very useful storing our 4 bike, and also our luggage. We spent part of every evening next to our fire on the edge of the ocean. We were close to all the beauiful sites in the area.

Beautiful and Quiet

I'd like to give this property a terrible review in hopes that it would lessen the prospective renters, for my own benefit. But I cannot. This was a perfect rental for my family of 5. Clean, quiet and absolutely breathtaking views. We will be requesting this property again next summer!
