Esentepe is a beautiful village located approximately 16 KM east of Kyrenia (Girne) surrounded by Mountain Pine Trees and Sea Views. Esentepe (or Ayios Amvrosios in Greek) when translated to English means "Windy Hill" because of the welcoming cool summer breezes sweeping from the Mediterranean Sea. Esentepe dates back to ancient times where you will find the Old Christian Church which is now used as the local Mosque. The beaches along Esentepe and Northern Cyprus are said to be the cleanest in the Mediterranean with an average temperature of 24 C between May and October.
