Spectacular sunsets drench Skagit Bay, the distant Olympic mountains, the Tonkin Islands, Hope Island, and Whidby Island from this sweet little cabin nestled amongst Fir and Madrona trees. Recently landscaped to reflect the Pacific Northwest's rainforest, all native plants thrive amongst the trees that Eagles, Osprey, Woodpeckers, Blue Herons and seagulls call home. Build yourself a fire in the firepit, pour a glass of wine or sparkling water, and sit under dappled shade and watch seals traverse the waters from islands dotted across the bay. One guest remakred, "It's like living in a National Forest on the water." Stairs to the beach, crafted from driftwood are right at your doorstep.

The cabin, similar to a studio, hosts a delightful loft with a double bed, a down comforter and a huge octagonal window gracing the Fir trees and water.

Local artwork decorates the walls of the combination living, dining and kitchen area. All linens, bedding, cooking utinsels are provided.

Area Description

The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful.

Five minutes puts you in downtown LaConner for antiquing, shopping, great restaurants, whale watching boats, and kayaking is just another fifteen minutes away in Anacortes.

I was looking for a retreat away from normal life and I found it in this cozy home. It maybe smaller but it was perfect for myself and my large dog. Walking on the beach was amazing and the mud flats in the morning thrive with shellfish. The home stays cool and has an restive atmosphere.

I am the property manager for this property. I stayed here for 3 days - testing it out! It was so delightful, charming. yes, it's small and has a ladder to the loft, but, the views, the beach, the charm, the wildlife (birds - seals) was so relaxing. I highly recommend it. Beach combing, nightly outdoor fire, stupendous views that seeped into my skin. I have more photo's I can send to you.
