La Mision is one of the oldest, most established communities in the region, with the beach and river community sharing the most beautiful stretch of beach for as far as the eye can see.
The river is actually an estuary, home for many exotic birds. Being a horse community, one can often hear the gentle clomp on the dirt road and spot wild horses drinking from the ravine.
A 2 minute drive from our house is the world famous La Fonda Hotel and spa. the ocean view from their restaurant is second to none.
If you are in the mood for local flavor the restaurants and bar located 1 minute the opposite way is home to many ranchers in the area that come in for home made cooking where the menu changes daily.
Deeper into the canyon from where our home sits, is a home to a native tribe where weavings and hand crafted gifts can be bought. A hike thru there will take you to hot springs and a waterfall.
The best thing of all is that you are situated right in between both Rosarito and Encenada. So which ever tickles your fancy it is only a 20 minute drive in either direction to get to any number of shops, restuarants, the wine country and more.

The house is lovely and very artsy and the community is great. It is centrally located to everything you'd want to do, without all the hustle and bustle of staying in the city.

Lovely! We so enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house! We all were surprised at how comfortable the beds were, how spacious the bathrooms (3!!) were, and how beautifully decorated. I especially liked the Kitchen and Master Bedroom. And the view....I spent a lot of time at the windows or on the balcony looking at the Estuary. My husband and I would have our morning coffee there and watch the herons fly. We mostly ate in Puerto Neuvo, but had two meals at Magana...huge burritos and amazing burgers and fries...and then a great breakfast on our last morning! And, last but not least, our whole family fell in love with Choco and Brocks. We would absolutely love to stay here again!
