Beautiful luxury chalet for 10/12
|No rental rates available - please contact the owner|
We built Chalet Alexia as a home from home to enjoy with our family and friends. Having stayed in many chalets in the past we had some fairly clear criteria;
- Room for two families but with own sense of space
- Endless hot water, powerful showers and absolutely no queuing for the bathroom
- Comfortable beds and crisp white sheets
- Big table for long dinners, board games and cards
- Huge log fire
- Spoilt for choice with Books, DVDs and Games
- Sofas you don’t want to get out of
- Someone available to cook when you are tired
- Cot, high chair and toys
- Close to Geneva
- Walking distance from the lift .
We’re pretty pleased with our second home and hope you love it too.

La Tzoumaz, on the other side of the crest from Verbier, is a quiet family focused resort amidst the wonderful skiing of the four valleys. The village has a small natural ice-rink, outdoor tennis court, indoor swimming pool, playground, creche, 12km winter hiking trails and 13km snowshoe trails. Additionally in the Riddes valley there are beautiful thermal baths. A handful of restaurants are within walking distance of the chalet including one who can deliver a catered dinner for the evening. The village also has a newsagent, baker, PROXI supermarket for essential provisions, cash machine and of course the compulsory ski-hire / bike-hire shops.
A skiers paradise
Set at the 4 Vallées, La Tzoumaz offers you an extraordinary skiing paradise. The resort has 40km of piste on snow-sure north facing slopes where it is possible to ski until the end of April. In just nine minutes, the La Tzoumaz telecabin takes you to the top of Savolyeres, 2,354 meters above sea level, where a wide variety of ski tows, chair lifts and cable-cars, provide connections to other resorts in the 4 Valleys region. Together with Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, La Tzoumaz form one of the largest ski areas in Switzerland offering over 400 km of runs and 100 lift installations. With a length of 10 km and a difference of 848 min altitude, La Tzoumaz’s famous toboggan run is extremely long and fairly fast!. Tobogganing events are held each Friday and Saturday full moon in January, February and March including fondue at the mountain restaurant in Savoleyres. The La Tzoumaz ski school runs lessons every day of the winter season. Full details about lift prices, ski lessons and weekly ski courses are detailed on the Tzoumaz booking portal. Heli skiing is available at Croix de Coeurs, the alpine peak located between La Tzoumaz and Verbier.
Chalet Alexia has a beautiful garden, garden furniture and sun loungers, a barbecue and outdoor ping-pong table.
Getting to the slopes
Chalet Alexia is most practical if you have a car. The chalet is located 300m below the lift and the village. It's a challenging walk up hill with your skis - not easy for children, but doable for adults. Good skiers can then ski back from the pistes to the front door. If you're not up for the walk, the easiest way is to drive to the large parking located above the children's ski school, park the car and ski down to the lift. You can then ski back to the car at the end of the day.

Reviews for this vacation chalet rental in La tzoumaz, Wallis Valais, Switzerland
Beautiful stylish chalet in fabulous location
Enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Chalet Alexia. By far the most stylish chalet we have had the pleasure of staying in. There were 9 of us in the party and plenty of space for us all. Skiing was superb and we enjoyed some wonderful lunches on the slopes. Wendy - UK, 2014
Beautiful family friendly chalet with superb views and great access to slopes.
This was our second visit to the chalet as we enjoyed it so much last year. The chalet is beautifully decorated with everything you might need. The mountain views are spectacular, even for non-skiers the chalet makes the holiday! Great skiing in the resort and in Verbier close by. Kids loved the ski school with new magic carpet lift for beginners! Sarah - UK, 2014
Superb newly built chalet with the warmth and cosiness of an older chalet.
We have never stayed in such a lovely chalet! (we have seen a few...) Newly built with a lot of taste and luxury, with the warmth and cosiness of an older Chalet. On the sunny days, whilst heaving breakfast, the sun came in through the large windows, enhancing the beautifull views from the chalet, and made for a great start of the day.Paul - Netherlands, 2014
Great, cozy and romantic
Chalet is just perfect and has everything you can imagine and even everything you cannot. Perfect views, full equipped kitchen, cosy beds etc etc etc. If you are looking for a family vacation, or if you are (like we) a couple seeking for tranquility - Chalet Alexia and La Tzoumaz is for you. We came here after two weeks in Verbier and it was a nice switch. Yes, there are not many shops, bars and nightlife in La Tzoumaz - but it really has everything you need ion a daily basis. And a house like this you will never find in a bigger resorts, or it will be completely unaffordable. And last but not least - Alexia can be a perfect headquarter for short discovery trips through the region: Montreaux, Vevey, Gruyer, Lausanne are 1,5 hours by car and will broaden your holiday experience! P.S. Car is necessary for a full comfort. Evgeny - Russia, 2014
Stunning chalet, very well equipped and furnished. Perfect for 2 families.
We have spent a very pleasant week in this chalet ! We were 4 adults and 6 kids. It was a perfect place for the kids and the parents also enjoyed it very much. The view from the chalet is splendid, the way it is decorated and furnished is very stylish and cosy. The owner is very speedy in responses and very helpful. The area has a lot to offer in terms of activities. Excellent experience overall ! Stefan - Switzerland, 2013
Wonderful chalet in the most beautiful location.
We spent Christmas with our family in Chalet Alexia. The chalet has every home comfort from dressing gowns and hairdryers to books and games and fondue sets and food processors. It also had plenty of hot water - not always the case when staying with a group of ten. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking our Christmas turkey! The chalet is relaxing, beautiful and the surrounding walks provided lots to do even if you weren't on skis. We will be going again for sure. Wally - UK, 2012
