i am very happy that i chose to stay at this house. Beautiful and spacious home that included everything i needed. The house has plenty of beds for those with large groups. The community is a great hang out spot especially for those with families, they also have good food. The hiking trails were great and they show how beautiful PA is. I would love to come back to this house!

We rented this home for a New Year getaway. We had 6 adults and 5 children. The house itself is structurally beautiful! The community is also very nice, although far from outside activities and not too much to do besides skiing (which a few of our kids were too small for). The problems we had with the house were that the phones were not working, all but one television was not working, and the one that did had only the basic channels. The DVD player was also not in working order, and the couch was dented in the middle which made it uncomfortable to sit. Also.on the first night there as we were having dinner at the dining area, one of the spindles from the loft came falling down, which could have been a very dangerous situation if someone was standing where it hard fallen. The house as I stated was nice but very outdated. I contacted the owner once we arrived home and let him know all of the issues, in which he did respond that he will work on, and that he believes the prior guests might have broken at their stay. Although the next day he deposited our security deposit, instead of at least returning that for our troubles. Unless the house would be worked on and updated, I would not return nor recommend it!!!

Need bedside tables and lamps and there were no hangers. The hot tub was the reason we chose this house but after calling several days to have it fixed the chlorine was so strong we could not enjoy it. Sad.

The house was very nice, comfortable and well laid out.. Clean and well stocked. The appointments in the house could use a bit of work. For instance, the pool table was sloped, so it was really unusable. The ping pong paddles should be replaced - they were really too worn to use. Similarly, the oven handle needs to be replaced, as it came off more than once. Although the house advertised cable, there was no cable box, just channels upto about 20. Similarly, we brought DVDs knowing it would be a rainy weekend - but the DVD player was a small, portable unit, that did not work. If advertising such options, they should be decent, working quality. That said, the wi-fi worked well, allowing our kids to watch online. The BBQ is very old, so be careful while using it. The fireplace was turned off, which was a shame because it was 50 degrees much of the time, but the heat worked very well. We played bingo a few nights and ate in the restaurant - both of which were fun. There is bowling and golf close by and we spent an afternoon at the Woodloch indoor pool for a nominal fee. The area is nicely wooded and very pleasant for walks. We had plenty of space for the 9 of us, rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a very good time even with the weather being bad! Thank you!

We spend the memorial day weekend at the house. the manager was very helpful and responded to the emails ASAP. The house was very clean and kids friendly. We spent a wonderful time at the home. The best area of the house was the loft where the kids had a blast.

We stayed at this home for a week as a summer getaway from the heat in Virginia. It is a very accommodating and well-equipped house. The kitchen had everything we needed to put on some very nice meals. Our family and a couple of friends made up 7 adults in the house. Our 21 year olds enjoyed the ping pong, pool and video games in the ground level game room. There was plenty of room for us - the house is spacious and so lovely and bright with all of the windows. There is a lot to do in the community with the pool, the lake, tennis courts, ski lodge and surrounding towns that were fun to explore. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in this home. We would certainly rent this home again. The owner was very responsive in answering any questions we had.

We stayed in this house for my wife's 30th birthday. It was everything we wanted. Clean, new, plenty of room and plenty to do. The wrap around porch was perfect for hanging out, the kitchen was open and great for cooking and the game room downstairs gave the kids plenty of room to run around. We had 5 couples and 6 kids stay the night and there was plenty of room. Highly recommend!!

The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because a few little things: the sheets provided did not fit the beds and the picture was not a picture of the house we stayed at...BUT the house we stayed at was perfect and we loved every minute! I would totally go back. Everything you could possibly need to stay at the house was provided and we felt very at home!!!

We had a great time, we were a little disappointed at the distance to the beach,( not in walking distance,). but we did enjoy the beach, and the fishing at the beach. You should inform the renters that adults will need to get a Pa. fishing permit, for out of state guest.($26) kids can fish for free up to 16. The permit lets you fish the Delaware Rive on either side NY of Pa.(permits can be gotten on line and printed out before you arrive) NY is only 15 min. away, we did white water rafting, and fishing there, had dinner in NY one nigh, on the river. The grandchildren loved feeding the deer, that came to the house every day, the deer love peanut butter and jelly. (white or wheat)lol The Cuckoo Nest was a great place to take the family (12), every one enjoyed there meal (even the health nuts). The grandchildren want to come back next year, there is still more to do.We used the pool every day, the whole family, the kids loved the water slides,(even the big ones). It truly is a place geared to family's, so if any one is looking for family fun and get together, this is the place to go!!The Owens"

House actually has 4 bedrooms, not 5 but there is a loft with 3 air mats. and there is a pullout sofa in gameroom. We got the there the day before the ski lift closed for the season, so that was disappointing and the horseback riding doesn't begin until May so we had 2 down falls. We just made adjustments but added a lot more driving to do stuff that we wanted. The house has lots of space and in the season seems to have a lot to do. Spring is definately an off season time and nothing going on at resort. The only other inconveniance is having to travel w sheets, etc. and making up the bedding when you get there, dealing with the trash when the dump hours are very limited is also a pain and this should all be included in your fees/rent...new thing for us. Overall though, the house is great and if you go at the right time there seems to be a lot to do. There is a $50 fee when you check in and the 8 passes that are referred to on the ad. just entitles you to a 25% discount on lift tickets alone. Still would recommend this place, we would go again, just at a differant time and now we know what to expect so there would be no surprises

Contract was signed and downpayment was made but owner reneged on agreement stating he had double booked but would not even attempt to rebook the alleged second party, we were left with little time to find a new place and almost had to cancel trip. We felt he had just changed his mind or wanted more money! We were able to find a new place at the last minute after much stress.

We stayed here for a 4 days and it was perfect. We had 4 adults & 7 kids and there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. The house was immaculate and very close to skiing/tubbing. Everyone at the community was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this home.

We stayed here for four days and it was great. The house is absolutely beautiful. It is very spacious, there were four adults and four kids and we had plenty of room. There is so much to do and the house is in a great location. Joe was very helpful and answered all our questions. If you want to spend quality time with your family this is a great the place to go. You can swim, fish, horseback ride. take out a boat or just do nothing but enjoy beautiful surroundings. We can't wait to go back.

We Were Supposed To Stay Here The First Week In August And The Owner Cancelled With No Valid Reason 2 Weeks Before Our Family Vacation And The Children Are Very Upset. I Would Not Rent This House If I Were You...very Disappointing.
