Description of the Lackawaxen vacation home rental

Luxury is what you will think when you walk into this home in Masthope Mountain Community. Masthope is home to Ski Big Bear with 18 trails, snow tubing, lessons for everyone and a brand new modern ski lodge to relax in with fireplaces, restaurant/bar area, arcade and table games. With a 650 vertical drop and beautiful views of the New York mountains you will surly feel like you are in heaven. Masthope is only two hours from NYC or Philadelphia. The house is within a five minute walk (0.4) mi. to the other amenities at Masthope; Olympic Size Pool/bar/restaurant with slides, diving boards, kiddie pool, beach with swimmable lake including boating, fishing, volleyball court, snack bar, tennis and basketball courts, horseback riding, private access to Delaware river with picnic area.

Our new chalet has an open floor plan with beautiful hardwood floors, living room with huge sectional seating, cathedral ceiling and stone faced gas fireplace. The main floors feature three extra large bedrooms, with 5 queen beds plus loft with Futon and more seating giving plenty of room for playing games, watching movies or reading.

We have three full baths plus 1/2 bath with washer/dryer, huge beautiful sunroom, kitchen with granite countertops, front and back decks with gas grill.
The lower level has more sectional seating, Air Hockey table and bunk room for more sleeping.

Masthope mountain community is within a short distance from scenic towns of Milford, Hawley, Narrowsburg and Honesdale.

Area Information

Masthope Mountain is located in Lackawaxen which is in the northern corner of Pennsylvania bordering New York and New Jersey. Just a two hour drive from New York and Philadelphia, Lackawaxen borders the Delaware and Lackawaxen Rivers until they come together at Twin River Junction just at the foot of the mountains. Historic Milford is only 1/2 hour drive with it's many antique stores and restaurants. Enjoy tubing down the Delaware or site seeing for Eagles along the river. Visit Zanes Grey Museum, the water falls at Shahola.
