Description of the Lago Vista vacation condo rental

Great getaway! The Island on Lake Travis is a 14-acre luxurious private island and gated resort style condominium community boasting gorgeous lake views, pristine landscaping, and sunny weather.

Fully renovated one bedroom/one bathroom and furnished condominium. Condominium includes: queen size bed, queen size sleeper sofa, new appliances, kitchenware, television, dvd, and vcr. Finishes include granite countertops, hardwood floors, crown molding, 42" wall cabinets, window blinds and ceiling fans.

Relax on your own private balcony while viewing the sunset over Lake Travis and the Hill Country. The balcony sits lakeside overlooking a bermuda lawn courtyard with beautiful central fountain.

During your stay on The Island you will enjoy two outdoor swimming pools, each with whirlpools, two lighted tennis courts, shuffle board courts, BBQ grill area with gas grills and picnic tables, fishing pier, boat ramp, and marina.

Golf courses are within 5 minutes. You may walk the quiet residential streets and you will see the plentiful deer. Ask about the nearby boat rentals.

The on-site bar ("Brizo's"), day spa, sundry/gift store and fitness center are now open. The on-site restaurant is opening summer 2009.

Area Description

The 1 bedroom condominium is located at The Island on Lake Travis in the City of Lago Vista. The Island on Lake Travis is a 212-unit waterfront condominium property. Lago Vista is located on the north shore of Lake Travis which is a 45 minute drive north and west from the City of Austin, Texas and a 55 minute drive from Austin-Bergstrom Airport. Super-S Foods is located at the corner of FM 1431 and Lohman Ford Road. Purchase your groceries, snacks and beverages and continue to The Island; it is only an 8-minute ride from the grocery store.

The Island (at mile marker 28)is surrounded by the blue waters of Lake Travis, and is located near boat friendly restaurants including The Pier on Lake Travis in Pointe Venture and Lake House Cafe in Briarcliff (at mile marker 27); you may access either restaurant via boat. A variety of local restaurants are within a 10 minute drive from The Island.

Lake Travis has gorgeous shoreline and unlimited recreational opportunities.

Required Stay: Add $35 for one night weekend stay
Lodging Tax: 6% state, 6% local
Deposits: $200 Security Deposit short-term stay, or $500 Security Deposit long-term stay(over 1 week).
Other Fees: Laundry facility and wi fi on-site at no additional charge. Boat slips $50 per day, additional charge and subject to availability.

It was so easy to find ourselves imagining we were on some tropical Island in paradise somewhere. We didn't feel like we wanted or needed to go anywhere else for entertainment. We ventured out to "the Pier" yesterday for lunch and a beer...was okay but we quickly decided we had a much cooler and romantic place right on our balcony...so we came back and didn't leave again!

We very much enjoyed walking around The Island and lounging/swimming in the pools. The only thing that could have made our stay any better is if we had a boat to tool around in. However, we wouldn't have gotten the rest we enjoyed so much. We were able to put our cares, concerns and work life on hold for the 3 days we were here.

Finally, your condo is lovely...very well done. We did feel like we were in a "5 Star" hotel, but better! Thanks for the basket of treats! I didn't want our stay to end...but we will be back...and if your condo is available...it would be fun to stay here again. Thank you for making it available to us. Dee & Larry

It was a pleasure to stay at The Island! We were looking for a lace to escape from our busy lives in Houston and we did just that by coming here. It was a wonderful day yesterday for everyone in the family. Even though we had the kids it was very romantic and a way for them to enjoy themselves also. We took your advise on the boat rental and jet skis, they came right to the boat dock to pick us up. After that we all went swimming in the pool to cool off. The kids were all beat up tired so we got pizza and watched movies that night. Thank you for everything. You sounded so nice on the phone, and everything was perfect to follow it.
