Self-catering Apartment in Lagos-Algarve with stunning sea views (Meia-Praia Beach), just 7 walking minutes from the beach. Shared garten with 2 pools, children facilities and mini-golf. The is a balcony for al fresco dining. Ideal for family with children seeking relaxation.

The apartment is located just seven minutes ' walk from the beach, on the outskirts of the town often referred to as one of Portugal best kept secrets: white and thin sand. Quiet and peaceful, yet only fifteen minutes' walk from the Lagos and only five minutes to the "Lagos Marina". The apartment has easy access to all amenities, including the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out (fish and sea food).
Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning sea and Lagos views, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. With one twin bedroom and bed Sofa in the Living Room, the villa is ideal for families (we provide also a baby bed), with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

Lagos is a beautiful town on the south-west of the Algarve. Its history has always been related to the Atlantic as it was from its shores that the Caravelas of D. Henrique, the Great Navigator departed to the Unknown World in the 15th century. By that time the small harbour of Lagos was a great international focal point for shipping routes and a crossing point of many civilizations. Lagos does not neglect its heritage; on the contrary it is proud of it and combines it well with the demands of a modern holiday town perfect as your holiday destination.

Lagos is a youthful town and its nightlife is surprising. Enjoy local and international delights in the many beach bars and typical restaurants.
Lagos Cultural centre has a modern, comfortable auditorium and is a mecca for music and the performing arts. There is a modern Marina with bars and boutiques where you can while away and feel the town 's relaxed charm.

Lagos has a seafaring tradition and its monuments testify that. There are many places of interest for the history lovers. The modern name 'Lagos derives from the Roman 'Lacobriga . Its ancient walls, rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake have kept history treasured. Ruins, museums and buildings report the times of the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Moors influence.
There is a beautiful 18th century baroque church called Igreja de Santo António. Its patron saint was called Saint Anthony of Miracles. The roof is made of wood and decorated with a painting in perspective. On the walls are 8 paintings by Master José Raquinho showing the miracles of the saint. Inside there is a precious museum with an important collection of religious art works and decorated menhirs from 4.000 to 3.000 B.C. as well as Roman remains.
Other historic places of interest are the Mercados dos Escravos dating from the 15th century and presently used as an art gallery and the Forte da Ponta da Bandeira, a beautiful17th century fortress.
The Arab influence in architecture is very rich. The street Rua da Barroca is an example. Very interesting is also the traditional Portuguese pavement showing marine designs.
