There's a local grocery store just minutes away to stock up on food and drink for the weekend. Or just out at local favorite eateries, Chuck’s and Gordy’s. Next door you can rent all your water toys–boats, jet skis. The main town of Lake Geneva is an easy 15-minute drive for more shopping, restaurants, and boat tours.
For a nice stroll or ambitious hike, you just have to start walking along the public lakeshore trail –a 20.6 mile trek all the way around! Great way to view the beautiful homes and of course, the natural beauty of the lake! Or enjoy the 2 adult bikes and go for a ride around the lake.

We have family in the Milwaukee area, and used the "red cottage" as our home base for a week (summer, 2009). Geneva Lake is a beautiful lake with plenty of opportunities for boating; no disappointments! The "red cottage" is an older home, nicely refurbished by its current owner, tastefully decorated, and just a short drive to the Fontana beaches. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Its owner obviously takes pride in his home, and seems selective in ensuring that prospective tenants will not trash the place. Plenty of room for parking. Huge deck with a deluxe grass grill. WiFi is a definite plus. Price is reasonable compared to other properties in Fontana, Lake Geneva and Delavan. House is located in Country Club Estates, and is a little tricky to find; GPS & Mapquest will get you in the vicinity, but not directly to the home. Watch the house numbers. Would definitely stay there again.

This house is so adorable!We had coffee each morning in the 4 seasons room, and dinner on the deck each evening!The beds are comfy,and so is the sofa. There is a large selection of dvd's if you just want to chill. There are alot of little towns all over to go visit- and we did!I've stayed in vacation rentals in the past, and I'd stay here again!

Owner obviously takes pride in his home, and seems to be selective in ensuring prospective tenants will not trash his home. Plenty of room for parking. Huge deck with a deluxe gas grill. WiFi is a definite plus. Price is very reasonable compared to other properties in Fontana, Lake Geneva & Delevan. House is located in Country Club Estates, and the owner provided his parking sticker and pass to Country Club's private beach (adjacent to the public beach), saving us the $7/person public beach fee. Very nice! Only downside is that it's a little tricky to find: GPS & mapquest will not get you right to the home. We would stay there again.
