Description of the Lake George vacation cabin rental

This modern full service cabin one hour west of Colorado Springs close to all Pikes Peak area attractions. Located on 3 private acres bordering national forest one mile from the South Platte River and Eleven Mile Canyon. Beautiful views and fishing can be arranged in two private stocked lakes. Centrally located with axcess to rafting, Breckenridge, Cripple Creek, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, Canon City and Royal Gorge.

Located at 8,400 ft elevation. The nights are cool even in the summer. National Forest is heavily treed with Ponderosa Pine, Aspen and large granite rock formations. Designated off road trails for quads, motorcyles, etc. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountain ranges can be enjoyed from many easy to moderate hikes. Gold medal fishing is within an eight mile drive(Eleven Mile, Spinny, South Platte River). Most of the attractions are within a hours drive on paved roads.

Secluded and serene. Great hiking; loved canoeing,horseshoes,tireswing and great family stories around the fire pit. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching Mother Nature. We can,t see these things in the hustle and bustle of the city life.The cabin itself was beyond what we anticipated. Very clean and cozy. We didn,t allow the kids to bring any electronic games; this was our family time. Listening to the old records got everyones attention. The two days we spent there was way to short; all agreed we must do this again. So, until next time we can only dream of the great time we all shared at the cabin. Thank you for sharing your home with us and putting your trust in us. Judy, Family and grandkids
