The cabin was everything we wanted and needed!! Being able to watch the different birds come to the big picture window each day was great. It was a true cabin in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Cozy and special. We felt very at home there and the tire swing was our daughters favorite thing there. The cabin was stocked with all the amenities. Don't forget to take a walk down to the beautiful lake and be sure to take notice of all the wonderful trees there. A true blessing for a quiet getaway. We'll definitely be back this summer
Great, Great Place

If you want quiet, secluded, near to nature this is the place. Plus if you like a nice picturesque view of the mountains, clean, crisp air then don't look any further. My family of 5 stayed in the cabin and all my kids (16, 13 and 10) gave it a huge thumbs up even without wifi for 4 days. The deck was the greatest each morning sitting watching the birds enjoying coffee and planning for our day. The drive to nearby attractions was not that bad, the road was fine no matter how much it rained. The cabin had almost everything (had planned for crockpot, but made due with oven timer). We had a few issues with the shower, but thinking was operator error and certainly didn't cause any problems. Sleeping was great although my 16 year old daughter could have done without the 6:30 a.m. woodpecker alarm clock! We had a fire 2 nights and roasted our Smores indoors due to the rain. It really made our vacation restful and rejuvenating which is exactly what we were looking for.
Highly recommend !

Our family really enjoyed our time spent at this clean, cozy cabin with a wonderful atmosphere. The quiet and peaceful views made for a memorable family vacation. Cell phone service can be had if you drive about a 1/2 mile away, but it was nice not being chained to any of our electronic devices for awhile. My son (major gamer) was excited to go on nature hikes...who knew ?! I highly recommend this cabin for anyone wanting a true vacation from everyday life. A great plus: full kitchen, full bathroom, washer/dryer, lots of sleeping room !!

We absolutely LOVED this cabin! Our family (two adults and found kids, aged 15-7) had a blast and were comfortable in this wonderful retreat! The owners of the cabin have a wonderful place to offer inside and out. It is a bit off the beaten path, which is great! The outdoors offer many activities, horseshoes, tire swing, great fire pit with seating, many bird feeders to keep you entertained watching the hummingbirds, squirrels, etc. Access to a canoe for the Lake was great. Within an hour's drive to many attractions (Pikes Peak, Canon City - white water rafting, Garden of the Gods, etc). Inside the cabin offers everything you could want/need and more! It is well stocked, we cooked all of our meals there, outdoor gas grill. Nice selection of books and movies (rainy times/evening) even a record player with a bundle of vinyls to play! And best of all no internet and limited cell service, so we were totally able to unplug for awhile!! We absolutely loved this charming cabin and hope to come back again soon!!

A most Memorable Vacation!!!!!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this cabin!!!! It was nicer than we ever imagined, with all the things we needed to cook, relax, and play. We all (6) fit very comfortably in this warm and cozy cabin. Everything was clean and neat when we arrived. My family immediately gravitated to Noel's extraordinary record collection! We are big music buffs, and enjoy listening to records even at home. This was a big treat! The view from the deck was perfect, looking out at the mountain as the sun shone on it each morning. We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning, and regrouped there every evening as well. The fire pit was a perfect place for our familiy to gather, reminisce, and laugh together every night, with stars shining brightly up in the sky! Hiking and rock scrambling were wonderful in the area, as was fishing and tubing at the canyon. One of our boys caught 8 trout!!!!!! We enjoyed a day trip to Pike's Peak - what a breathtaking site!!!! The birds were amazing! With 4 Humming bird feeders on the deck, we were always entertained. There were also so many other birds to watch and observe from a very cose distance. The Perrans provided so much for us - even had fresh flowers and a bottle of wine on the table when we arrived. We wish we could have met them in person. All in all, it was like a paradise for us! We would love to return! Absolutely NO complaints!!!!!

Wonderful vacation cabin!

What a wonderful cabin! This cabin is very private and quiet. Our kids (ages 15, 12, 10) loved the tire swing and horse shoes along with the nature that was around! Great bird watching along with animals easy to view from porch. Our family enjoyed this cabin to relax for a day and was an awesome basecamp for the days when we took off to do activities like Pikes Peak and White water rafting in Canon City! Can't wait to return! Thank you for letting us share your wonderful cabin. It was just perfect! Matt and Michelle

Just what we were looking for! The cabin is charming and the location feels secluded, even with homes nearby. There was plenty of room for the kids to explore. The owners have really made this cabin an experience...fire pit, tire swing, hummingbirds. Everything was clean and inviting. Thanks! Hope we'll be back!

Secluded and serene. Great hiking; loved canoeing, horseshoes, tireswing and great family stories around the fire pit. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching Mother Nature. We can,t see these things in the hustle and bustle of the city life. The cabin itself was beyond what we anticipated. Very clean and cozy. We didn,t allow the kids to bring any electronic games; this was our family time. Listening to the old records got everyones attention. The two days we spent there was way to short; all agreed we must do this again. So, until next time we can only dream of the great time we all shared at the cabin. Thank you for sharing your home with us and putting your trust in us. Judy, Family and grandkids
