Lake Jocassee is the most pristine fresh water mountain lake in the Southeast. The 75 mile shoreline is almost entirely protected as a watershed area and is part of the Jocasse Gorges Conservation Area. Visitors can bring their own boat or rent one for daily adventures or take a guided waterfall tour. Perhaps enjoy a day of world class fresh water fishing or hiking on one of the waterfall laden nature trails. This is truly natures paradise at your doorstep.

We had a great time on a long weekend at Maplecrest. The house is clean, comfortable and accomodating with plenty of room to spread out! If you are not familiar with the area (we were not) you will not fully appreciate the convienience of the location until you get there. There was plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful lake as well as several State Parks on a single weekend because everything is so close to the house and easy to find.  more...

What a great rental house near Lake Jocassee. Maplecrest is just a relaxing and enjoyable spot that makes you feel right at home. The house is surrounded by shade trees and has plenty of privacy. Plenty of room for my boat trailer and a big activity field for the kids to play on. Looking forward to next year!  more...
