Cool Waters, No Boat Traffic, #1 Swimming Hole
|Per night||$225 - $345|

Cool Waters is a local favorite swimming hole offering both a peaceful and scenic experience. The good news is you can also safely jet ski, water ski and wake board from this location. The large boulders discourage watercraft from roaring down the Colorado River at Cool Waters, which means the water is NEVER choppy or busy. A haven for fishing, swimming and canoeing, picnics or just relaxing, Cool Waters is a favorite vacation location.

We just returned from a week at the Lost Lure Lake house and had a wonderful time! First, a few of the negatives: upon arrival, we were a bit surprised at the small size of the back yard. We would not recommend this property if you have small children as the back yardis not very large and it has water on 3 sides of it. Also, the extra sleeping nook is actually in the bathroom, so it is not an ideal spot for a bed. All the bedrooms are upstairs, so please be aware of that. Now the positives, the house is in a great location - the cove is very close to the lake and perfect for swimming, kayaking and fishing. The neighborhood is quiet and there is not much boat traffic in the cove. The fish cleaning station was a nice feature, along with the two docks. Another great feature to this house is all the outdoor seating. Plenty of chairs to use in the back yard and the two large picnic tables were ideal for being able to spread out. Inside, the kitchen had the needed utensils, pots, pans and plates. There were extra linens, blankets and pillows for the bedrooms and the large laundry room was a nice space for storage of our luggage. The location is conveniently located close to town for quick grocery or fishing bait runs. I would highly recommend this house to anyone that wants a relaxing vacation at the lake!
Easter Family Reunion at Cool Waters
May 1, 2011
My grown children and I enjoyed a lovey Easter weekend at Cool Waters. The house is a "home" with spectacular views and surrounded by natural beauty and willdlife.
Its actually a Guest House
September 12, 2010
This is just the Guest house about 5 feet from the owners' permanent residence. You will be sharing their deck and walkways. No privacy at all. The pictures are very dated. The place is functional but not worth the price. Go somewhere else!!!

the location of the property was good but was lacking in the amenities. The cable wasn't working, the kitchen had only plastic dishes and very cheap utensils. As we ate there every meal that was difficult to deal with. The trash container was full when we arrived and never emptied so we had no place but the garage to store our trash which ripens quickly in 100 degree weather. The patio door was next to impossible to open and close because the tracks had dirt in them. Not all the restrooms had toilet paper when we arrived and the ones that did had almost empty rolls and though there was coffee listed as being provided there were no filters. It's the little details that make a stay great. I know this was their first time renting, if they iron the quirks out we would be happy to return. Like I said the location is great as are their neighbors.
