Crown Point Resort (Lake Kegonsa)

We very much enjoyed our stay at Crown Point Resort. Our cottage was comfortable and clean. We had a beautiful view of the lake. The folks in charge were friendly and helpful.

Perfect Setting

August 14, 2012

A wonderful 'retreat' awaited us on Rock Lake at this lovely cottage. The property was a perfect setting for our last 'hurrah' before another school year begins. The water was beyond clean...a necessity for us so that we could swim, snorkel, tube, boat, etc. Bring your watershoes as it is rocky. A boat lift is included, which is a bonus and there is plenty of parking as well as a spot for your trailer. We were able to bring our dog who enjoyed the water more than us! The quaint, small town is a bike ride away. The charming Farmer's Market was worth the rain and the Mexican Restaurant El Mariachi is a must! The State Park was interesting, too....more of a trail with historical archeological 'mounds.' The cottage size is quite 'spaciously cozy' as it has this wonderful enclosed sunroom/porch behind a fireplace that made it very 'open' and enjoyable to sit in on a rainy day. The only downsize was there was a bit of 'mustiness/dustiness' in the bedrooms and on the couches that triggered an allergic reaction from our kids. A deep cleaning would be kindly suggested of these rooms fllipping/airing out the beds/vacuuming couches. The owner, Scott, was accessible and quickly responsive when a plumbing issue occurred in the kitchen. We were also very pleased with how he worked with us with any of our concerns or questions. Completely stocked with essentials, from a very well-supplied kitchen to a DVD and game library (as there is no cable and 'touchy' internet), the only thing to bring are toiletries and water toys. There's even a smoker on the deck. Our favorite place was the boat house deck to watch the sunsets and have morning coffee. We will be back!

Idyllic Stay

Our recent three week stay on Rock Lake was restful and carefree. The property was turnkey furnished, including ample reading. We caught fish everyday--all day. With the spacious accommodations, we were able to entertain our mid-west family and friends in substantial numbers. We were more than pleased!

Beautiful Cabin

My family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We found the cabin clean and very comfortable. All the amenities (sheets / towels / fully equipped kitchen) made our stay a a breeze. The fishing from the pier was a resounding success and the town of Lake Mills is charming with a nice restaurant selection. I would not hesitate to visit again.
