This house exceeded all my family's expectations! We were so pleased with the house layout, the wonderful pool and hot tub and the overall cleanliness. The house was spotless. Since we had not viewed the house prior to renting it, we were also pleasantly surprised that even though it was only listed as a 4 bedroom, the laundry room in the basement had a day bed and was plenty big enough to serve as a 5th bedroom, which we needed with our big family group. Our group was a total of 14 (9 adults, 5 children) and we all had a wonderful family vacation, this house was perfect.

For my Brother's 50th birthday, my siblings and I got together for a NASCAR weekend, but wanted to stay at Lake Norman instead of a hotel in Charlotte. This house was perfect, as there was plenty of room for privacy for 4 couples, yet plenty of room to gather, and the lake was wonderful. What took us a minute to get used to was that unlike other houses we’ve rented, say in the Outer Banks, this house is more of a second home. The amenities, while adequate, are what you find at a privately owned and managed vacation home or cabin. Not a negative, but just different. The drive into Charlotte was quick, once you get to the main highways, and the drive up to the house was scenic and easy. And from my brothers who all run, the hills around the house were a great workout! Since the house didn’t have the extra cable channels that allowed us to watch football on Sunday, we ventured into town and had a great time at the locally owned sports bar. Thanks to Mike for his help when we called with questions - renting this home was simple and easy.

This cozy log home was the perfect spot for our family to gather from Costa Rica, PA, MD, DC and SC! The well stocked kitchen worked nicely for preparing turkey with all the trimmings and the large dining table seated our group very comfortably. We spent lots of time enjoying coffee on the porch overlooking beautiful Lake Norman and took long walks in the quiet, scenic neighborhood. A boat rented from nearby Morningstar Marina was great for fishing and enjoying the magnificent fall colors from the water. The home's downstairs family room was ideal for watching movies and Penn State football! Our entire family agrees that a return trip to this lovely home is definitely in our future.

We had a great time at this house on Lake Gaston. The owners were attentive to our needs. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you will need. Spent most of our time on the wonderful boat dock, caught lots of fish! This house isn't fancy, but it has everything you will need for a great lake vacation, the aforementioned boat house, screened porch, grill and it is very clean. Thanks to the Boltons for having their lake house available!
