Only 1 mile from the highway, this 2100 sq. ft. brick home is situated 150 ft. above lake level on 38 secluded acres. 40 ft. in-ground pool with hot tub, lighted volleyball court, pool table inside, hiking trails and lots of wildlife. Gated entrance ensures total privacy. No neighbors in sight. 15 minutes from Historic Jefferson or rent a barge or jet skis locally and play on the lake.

Area Description

This vacation home is deep in the Piney Woods of East Texas on Lake O' The Pines. The lake is a favorite for many bass, crappie and catfish fishermen and women. Several marinas as well as boat launches and fishing docks around the lake. Lake O' The Pines is a Corp of Engineers lake and is well maintained.

Wonderful Christmas Memories, January 4, 2009

We got lucky in finding this great place to take an extended family trip halfway between all our homes. This was the perfect place for the interests of all those in our family. Some like to shop, some like to hike, some like to relax in a hot tub, some like to play pool and video games, some like to watch a beautiful sunset and star gaze, some like to play catch in the yard, and some like campfires, but all of us loved the "girls", JR's 30 some odd deer that came out each day to be fed. Our family has enjoyed the opportunity to take probably 8 to 10 trips together and I believe this was our favorite. Thanks JR for such a great time!

Family Christmas, January 1, 2008

It was a great place for our family to meet--coming from the west, east, north and south. We found the house very clean and extremely usable and adequate for our needs of just hanging out, celebrating Christmas, looking for eagles, playing outside and watching grandchildren. We had 5 children under 4--and the babies found the tile great for crawling on! Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. We set up our new Wii and had a great time playing games--excellent seating for a big group. Thanks to JR for the firewood, history and the visit. **We needed more towels and cuptowels, but maybe we were supposed to bring our own. Otherwise, everything was GREAT!
