Poco Risco log homes are nestled between the shores of the Little Niangua channel and the edge of nature's raw beauty. Discover a rich forest of native flowers, prairie plants, and abundant wildlife. It's a bird watcher's paradise with hundreds of species from Golden and Bald Eagles to Yellow Finches.
Enjoy the calm, glassy waters found on the Little Niangua. Perfect conditions for water-skiing, tubing, personal watercrafts, and swimming. It's no secret that these waters boast some of the best bass fishing in the Midwest. These are also fine waters for crappie, walleye, channel catfish and paddlefish.
Area Description
Very quiet, serene, a place to get away from it all. There are four log homes that sit in the same area so larger groups may be accommodated! We are located about 20 minutes from town, so still close enough to go out for dinner, catch a movie, play miniture golf and Big Guy Golf!
There are two water parks nearby - one indoor and one outdoor. Lots of go-kart racing tracks!
There is also a 110 store outlet mall within a 30 minute drive!

Vacation Rental Policies
- Payment Options: Cashier's Check, Mastercard, Money Order, Personal Check, Visa
- Check In: 4 p.m.
- Check Out: 11 a.m.
- Required Stay: Two nights in off season - Saturday to Saturday in high season from 3rd week of June thru 3rd week of August
- Lodging Tax: 5.475%
- Deposits: A deposit of $350 is your reservation deposit up to your arrival time, at arrival it becomes your security/cleaning deposit. When departing the property and home must be clean! Cancellation at anytime is an automatic loss of 50% of any and all funds already paid. The balance of which is subject to re-renting of the unit. If you stay for your scheduled time the $350 is fully refundable, subject to condition of property and contents at departure. There is also a $75 non-refundable cleaning fee.
- Other Fees: Single night rates based on 8 people - each additional person over 3 years of age= only $10.00 per night/per person

We rented 2 of the log homes and couldn't be more pleased. Beautiful setting on the lake, clean, spacious, everything we needed including friendly, helpful owners! It's also secluded from the city and very enjoyable. Yet, the stores and restaurants aren't too far away either. We want to come when we can enjoy the lake. Watching the rain on the lake from our cozy living room with a fire going was pretty nice, though. Family reunion, September 16, 2008

Just wanted to let you know that the week we spent in your Horizon Home was the best family vacation we have ever had. The home is beautiful, comfortable and equipped with all the things you need to have a relaxing week away from home.
I also want to thank you for your help the day of our arrival. Fixing a flat is not the best way to start a vacation. Your assistance was greatly appreciated.
Would you hold on to my security deposit and pencil us in for two weeks next year begininning June 14th? We have shown our vacation pictures to Natalie's brother, sister, mother and father and they would all like to join us next year.
Thanks again for you hospitality. Let me know if there is a problem with my request for the rental next summer.

It is rare that a family makes a long distance commitment for a vacation to a place that they have never been to, and to lodging that they know nothing about. I made the arrangements to stay at Poco Risco Homes based on data downloaded from their website, and from discussions with the owner, Kevin Fehrmann.
We were driving from Colorado Springs, Colorado with our boat to a place that we had never been to, or know anybody else that had. Are the location and lodgings as good as the web site pictures showed? Was the owner as truthful about the quality of the accommodations? My family and I were overjoyed to discover a vacation home that was much more than we expected and hoped for. The home was immaculately clean, extremely well equipped, and exceptionally beautiful. The pictures and descriptions that Mr. Fehrmann provided us were an understatement. He has an exceptionally well built home, in both looks and functionality. As hot and humid as the summer can be in Missouri, the air conditioning worked perfectly. The views of the lake from both decks were breathtaking. The boat dock and slip were perfect for our 19 foot boat and for the kids to swim from.
I plan to make Poco Risco Homes a regular vacation destination and have recommended it to family, friends, and my business customers. I hope to be able to purchase a retirement home on the lake from Mr. Fehrmann in the next few years. The people in the town were very friendly. Everything we needed for our stay was not far away.
I would recommend Poco Risco Homes to anybody who is looking for 5 star accommodations for vacation or for purchase of a lakefront home. Please feel free to use this letter of recommendation for anybody that inquires about Poco Risco Homes.
