The Whispering Woods Lakefront vacation home is the perfect location for a private lakefront getaway for a large group of friends to medium sized family reunions. Sleeping up to 22, this 3 level home sits directly on 160 ft. of seawalled lakefront.
The lower level deck contains a gas BBQ, 7 person hot tub, as well as a small set of stairs which exit to the dock or flat grassy area in front of the home perfect for a marshmallow roast on the firepit, or a game of lakefront washers.
The inside of the home provides over 4500 square feet of living space to spread out in over 3 levels. Containing 7 bedrooms and an additional bunk room which does not have a window, the home will accomodate up to 22 people, the home's bedrooms are arranged as follows:

Located at the 26 mile marker of the Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks, the Whispering Woods vacation home provides a spectacular view across the main channel while still providing cove protection making use of the huge 3 well dock with swim platform. By land the home is located in Sunrise Beach off of Lake Rd. F-12S. Directly across the main channel is the location of Tan-Tar-A's fireworks display. Sit on any one of the home's 3 lakefront decks and enjoy Memorial Day, Labor Day, or 4th of July fireworks.

The Lake of the Ozarks was built on May 30, 1931, and was the largest man-made lake in the world at that time. The lake originated from the construction of Bagnell Dam, which began on August 6, 1929 (four months before the stock market crash of 1929). Fortunately for Missourians, the Bagnell Dam project would bring growth and expansion to the area during the midst of the Great Depression. When completed, Bagnell Dam would create a lake that covers 57,000 acres and features 1375 miles of cove-indentured shoreline. Today, this shoreline is dotted with beautiful homes, hotels, resorts, restaurants, and shops.

Many of the Lake's visitors are watersports fans. To accommodate these visitors, numerous marinas offer boats for rent. Boating fanatics can find every type of watercraft imaginable at the Lake including houseboats, ski boats, sail boats, bass boats, speed boats and wave runners. The Lake features several quiet coves that are great for a cool afternoon swim, sunbathing, or a few quick casts for bass, crappie, or catfish. If more action is on your mind, the main channel is a great place for skiing, tubing, or wakeboarding.

When it's time to head back to shore, the fun doesn't have to end! The communities surrounding the lake feature a variety of activities to suit every interest. Whether you're a kid or a kid-at-heart, you'll revel in the variety of amusement parks, miniature golf courses, go-carts and horseback riding trails that the region has to offer. Also check out the helicopter and sea plane rides, local caves, shops, and festivals, or take a tour of Bagnell Dam.

The Lake area is quickly becoming the Midwest's primary golf destination, and features over 180 holes of championship golf. From beginner to pro, the variety of courses at the Lake will challenge every player, amidst the serene backdrop of the Ozark Mountains.

Vacationers love a good meal, and the Lake area will not disappoint! Whether you're looking for a casual lunch or a candlelit bluff top meal, the Lake has the dining experience for you. While the Ozarks specialize in BBQ and fish, you can easily find cultural fare, including Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Japanese. For a quick meal, grab a burger, a catfish basket, or a BBQ pork sandwich. Top it all off with some homemade fudge or a banana split at one of the many ice cream parlors. Dinner can range from a perfectly grilled steak to lobster to pasta.

Keep in mind that the Lake of the Ozarks isn't just a summer destination. The Ozark Mountains are famous for their fall foliage, which is a beautiful sight from the calmer waters of the Lake. The milder autumn temperatures are excellent for a round of golf, or a hike through the woods.
