Description of the Langley vacation cottage rental

Redwood Retreat Cottage offers complete privacy on a full acre of wooded property. This fully self-contained cottage has everything you need for a getaway and allows for a sense of space and relaxation. With a full kitchen that opens to a dining/living room area, there is plenty of room for a a gathering, or just space for two to "kick back" . There is a pull-out sleeper/futon for extra accommodation in the large living room area, as well as a separate laundry facility room. There is also a port-a-crib available for folks traveling with infants.

Sit and rest before a roaring fire in the traditional fireplace. The large bedroom has slider doors that open up to the large, private deck facing the woods. A private beach access is located a short walk away from the cottage, with a bulkhead and dock, where you can walk the beach or sit on the dock & watch the sunset! There are small "peek-a-boo" water views from the dining area of the cottage and throughout the front of the property.

Relax with a soak in the jetted tub. Sit out on the deck...have a B-B-Q...sing around the outdoor fire pit! Wildlife abounds and you'll feel a world away from it all, yet you are less than an hour from a major metropolis (Seattle). Stay a week or a weekend --You'll feel refreshed & rejuvenated with a stay at Redwood Retreat Cottage! We have a TWO NIGHT minimum at this cottage, especially during busy weekends....One night is "by chance" only

The vibrant & eccelectic town of Langley is a quick 6 miles away, for superb shopping, stolling, dining and exploring. Further north up the island is Coupeville and the Keystone Ferry, where you can head to Pt. Townstend & the Olympic Peninsula. Whidbey Island is a great "jumping-off" point for exploring the bountiful beauty of the north Puget Sound area! We are close to the city pulse of Seattle or Vancouver, BC, but a world away in atmosphere!

The cottage was amazing! I felt as if I had stepped into another decade and was living a quieter, more peaceful existance. My son and his wife were guests with me at the cottage, along with their Lab, Maddie. We had looked long and hard for a vacation rental that would welcome Maddie. The Redwood Retreat Cottage is just rustic enough to allow one to feel comfortable having a pet there, but still beautifully decorated down to the last detail. The beach was a nice walk away, and the nearby towns provided some great meals. We also enjoyed cooking "at home" and eating on the beautiful deck. I wish everyone could have a chance to spend some quiet time at this cottage. The world would be a better place!

This place was so cool --roomy & sunny and very private! We enjoyed the deck and cuddling by the fireplace in the evening. We brought our dog Jack, who had a great time romping in the yard and running on the beach --which is a very short walk away. There is also a nice kitchen, where we were able to cook some memorable meals during our long weekend stay. This cottage was one-of-a- kind, with charm to spare. We almost hate for other's to "discover" it --we think of it as "our" cottage --and we plan to return soon!
