A very charming and newly renovated French country home. It is in the center of France in the Auvergne. It's in the volcano region and is an amazing place for hiking, mountain biking, etc.


Our house is a lovely old stone manor house. It is 240 square meters with 3 bedrooms, 1 and a half baths, and a renovated loft like attic. There is an open living, dining, kitchen area. We also have a new central heating system and a new wood burning stove. There is a large garden with lovely views of the village.

Area Description

The house is about three and half hours south of Paris, 2 and half hours east of Bordeaux, 2 hours west of Lyon and 2 and half hours north of Montpellier. It's a convenient location for touring around France.

Clermont Ferrand the main city in our area is 45 minutes away.

It is walking distance to the village and only 5 kilometers away from an artist's village with weekly farmer's markets.

There is an international film festival in Clermont Ferrand at the end of January. The house is close to downhill ski resorts as well as cross country skiing in the Massif Central mountains.

In the summer there are many day or overnight hiking paths which can be used with mountain bikes as well.

The volcano region - the Puy de Dome - has over 80 volcanoes which can be hiked and explored.
