Description of the Lehighton vacation cottage rental

House sits on a 40 acre farm. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, living-room and back pantry. House is completely furnished including bath towels, bed linen, dishes, pots and pans. There is a coffee maker, microwave, and toaster to complete the kitchen. Skiers can dry their clothing in the dryer in the back pantry. The only thing you need to bring is your food.

Area Information

Visit historic Jim Thorpe to see the Switchback Railroad, Asa Packer Mansion, or tour the old Carbon County Jail where the Molly McGuire trial took place. See the bald and Golden Eagles and other wildlife at the Environmental Center at Mauch Chunk Lake in Jim Thorpe. For all you race car fans, Pocono Raceway is close by. Come see Beltville State Park to hunt, fish, boat, jet ski, swim or just picnic. You may want to come to just enjoy the Fall folliage. State game lands close by for hunting and hiking. If you enjoy live entertainment you will enjoy Penn's Peak. Skiers can chose from Big Boulder, Jack Frost, or Blue Mountain Ski areas. Tour our many different coal mines such as Ashland or Lackawanna Coal Mines, or Number 9 Coal Mine in Lansford. If you enjoy Whitewater Rafting or Skirmish this is the place to come. The house is 3 miles from Mahoning Valley Interchange of the Pa. Turnpike. Numerous shopping areas close by.

Wonderful experience

My husband, dog and I were up in Lehighton and Jim Thorpe for a short 2 day vacation. The owners were very kind and sweet. The cottage was clean, spacious and nicely furnished. There were woods and trails in the back of the cottage that my dog and I explored while my husband relaxed and watched TV. We hiked at Beltzville State Park, took the Lehighton scenic train ride, and checked out Jim Thorpe and Mauch Chunk lake. We had a pleasant and restful time and will be going back again. Very grateful to the owners for making this cute cottage a dog friendly one.

Amazing hospitality!

My family and I recently enjoyed a trip to Jim Thorpe, PA and stayed at a cottage owned by the Cressleys. They were very accommodating and allowed us to check in earlier and leave later so we could visit longer. My Yorkie loved the trail behind the cottage where she had company while walking with the Cressley's 3 dogs! My 7 year-old loved the fact that they had chickens and made their honey (which we bought two jars of!). I will certainly come back to stay at the cottage and would reccommend this stay to anyone.

This was the perfect place for a nice relaxing vacation. The cottage was very clean and very comfortable. There is a huge backyard and beyond it there are trails through the woods. It's an ideal place to take your dog! The area is very prety with plenty to do. Jim Thorpe is a lovely little town. The ownders are super nice and very helpful. We would love to return.
