Description of the Lewes vacation home rental

A large and newly furnished 4 bedroom house with 3.5 baths. Master bedroom suite with its own large bath plus 2 walk-in closets is located on the first floor. The house offers all the amenities of an upscale home such as central A/C, Wi-Fi internet, large screen HD TV as well as a spacious laundry room with washer/dryer and sink. In addition to a large open porch in the front, there is an enclosed screen porch in the back. NEW BONUS ROOM ADDED UPSTAIRS FOR USE AS FAMILY/GAME ROOM.
The house is located in the Village of Five Points East which offers community pools, tennis courts and a village area of boutique shops, restaurants, pharmacy and grocery store all of which are within walking distance from the house. Yet, because the house is located in the residential East Village section of the Village of Five Points, it is separated from any noise and commotion of the commercial area.

Area Information

Being located east of the heavy traffic of Route 1, the house is within a 5 min. drive to the beach and to downtown Lewes, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry and Cape Henlopen State Park which offers beaches on both the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean as well as hiking and biking trails. The Town of Lewes itself is a charming historical seaport town which has a lot to offer but without the congestion of the neighboring resort towns.

Although the house can sleep 10, we do not rent to groups of adults. 4 to 6 adults in the maximum we prefer, plus children.

Family getaway

August 20, 2012

By midweek we were already discussing signing up for next year. A beautiful house in a well planned community nearby to downtown Lewes, the bay and the ocean. Easilly accomodated 10 people and the spacious kitchen and adjoining great room was just what was needed for families that like to cook and play games. A shourt walk to the pool was the perfect setting for coming and going as you pleased and just a couple of turns and you were on Routes 1 & 9 to visit wherever you needed.

Beautiful and spacious home

August 4, 2012

We were delighted to be able to spend our beach vacation in this lovely home. Only minutes away from everything you would want - the beach, restaurants and shopping. The community pool is only one short block away. And the neighborhood is away from the main roads, so we were able to enjoy quiet evenings relaxing in the screened-in porch. We definitely plan on returning for our next Lewes vacation.

Beautiful Summer Home!

What a beautiful home to spend a week down the shore! Me, my husband, our 3 year old son and my mother in law had a wonderful time. We usually rent a home in Rehoboth but wanted to try Lewes this year. It was a perfect location and had a pool to enjoy. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the cleaning service was horrible. Unfortunately, I spent about an hour cleaning spider webs and dead bugs...but the owner is aware and I hope to return next year!
