Nature View Cabin is located on pristine, private and lush Lake St George in Liberty, Maine. The location is perfect -- quiet but still close to stores, ice cream and state park/boat launch.
Enjoy swimming, kayaking, fishing, island hopping and more in the clean and clear lake. The property terrain is grass and trees -great for running around and playing games, etc. The best part of the day is when the sun is setting and you are relaxing on the lawn overlooking the lake and listening for the loons while you're grilling supper.
This cabin is a year-round home complete with 3 bedrooms (1King/2 twins/1 with room for blow up mattress or portable crib), full kitchen and furnace. The gorgeous bathroom is newly remodeled with tile and large shower. The full basement is great for parking, Storing kayaks and fishing gear and has full size washer and dryer. High-speed internet access, TV, DVD and excellent cell phone reception. Nearby are hiking trails and a swimming ledge for sunbathing. Access to 2 kayaks with accessories are included so you can go for a family outing (each will fit one adult and one child). Boat launch at Lake St George State Park is a 5 min. drive and 20 min. boat ride. You can moor it in front of the cabin. What makes Lake St. George so special is its secluded, yet central location in mid-coast Maine; only minutes from the ocean -- 20 minutes from historic coastal Belfast, 45 mins. from Augusta to west and Camden/Rockport to east, Damariscotta to south, and only 30 mins. south to Blueberry Pie at Moody's Diner and the awesome gourmet delights at Morse's Deli! The lake is rated second in Maine for water quality--our lake association pays close attention to every boat at the public launch! You'll find a few casual local hangouts for dinner or take-out, John’s famous and delicious homemade ice cream 3 mins away...and there's always pick-up groceries, pizza or movie rentals at the local gas station! Fine dining is as close as Lincolnville, and great shopping/art/culture in Camden/Rockport! Fun day trips include north to Acadia and Bar Harbor, or south to Freeport, Boothbay, Pemaquid Beach, Monhegan Island, etc. The ocean isn't far at all, if you can drag yourself away from the lake!
