Music bursts forth at the Cascade Head Music Festival, which occurs on three weekends in June. Also in June, the art galleries of Lincoln City celebrate their finest exhibits with a Glass Weekend Gallery Hop. This weekend event features artists’ receptions, art demonstrations, refreshments, and drawings for gift certificates toward that piece you nearly left behind.
To round out spring and send you smiling into summer, the last weekend in June brings the first of three annual Kite Festivals, the summer festival at the D-River Wayside.
ART & GLASS BLOWING
Gallery hopping and art collecting may seem an unlikely pastime at the beach, but in Lincoln City, you'll find it is worth the trip. Lincoln City boasts several fine local artists and its galleries feature other Northwest talent as well. Lincoln City gallery owners are mindful of the diversity available in art and thus encompass the wide range of lifestyles from the rugged to the whimsical.
Lincoln City is quickly becoming a glass artist's mecca with its annual glass float project, which places the number of hand-blown glass floats reflecting the number of the year on the beach for alert beach combers to find and keep. The project began in 1999 to celebrate the millennium and to acknowledge the age-old tradition of finding Japanese glass floats on the beaches of Oregon.
SHOPPING, DINING, & ENTERTAINMENT
For more than a decade Lincoln City has been the place to go on the Coast if you are interested in antiques and collectibles. With more than 30 separate stores and over 80 dealers, Lincoln City usually has that specialty item for which you have long been searching.

The rating comes because who ever cleaned, didn't know how. The master bath was plugged upon arrival. The sheets were a wrinkled mess. We had to laundry and redo before we could sleep. There was water bottle and candy boxes behind the night stands. As well as toys in the hot tub. Funiture and remotes were very stick. So we felt we had to clean to enjoy. Very disappointed, since it was a well need break!!
