The "Beach Retreat" House is an older beach cottage home about 7 rows back w/varying Whitewater Ocean & Surf views from each of the 3 bedrooms, dining room, & large living room w/many updates in process. Just at the entrance of Roads End, this home is only a few minutes walk to the Casino & just blocks from the beach. New 50" PLASMA TV & Digital Expanded Cable , 42" & 32" LCD TV's, 1,000 watt home theater system w/IPhone/IPOD docking station, Wi-FI built in for Netflix, Pandora, & Blue Ray, DVD players, wireless Wi-Fi, small combination pool table/foosball table, air hockey table, w/foosball table & 3.5'x6.5' pool table within garage conversion. There is even a 6 train/controller Geo Trax set for the kids. Outdoor you will find HOT TUB w/OCEAN VIEWS, new 10' x 12' wood deck w/stainless gas BBQ, chiminea, & large hammock for afternoon nap beneath the ocean pine trees. Fully fenced pet friendly yard is so large, kids may get lost, ¼ acre. For the kid's, there is a custom built 12' play structure/"tree house" w/yellow tube slide, bubble dome, climbing wall, & other goodies, sandbox, 2 large swings, 2 disc rope swings, 1 toddler swing, & a trapeze bar w/rings. There is enough parking for 4 full size cars & even a camper/trailer. Sleeps 8 guests on beds, but up to 10-12 w/temporary beds: 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds (day bed/trundle), 1 bunk bed, 1 queen sleeper, 1 queen raised Aero Bed mattress (for temporary overnight guests), & full size crib.
So whether you want to meander back from Chinook Winds Casino by foot or safely walk down to the beach from a cul-de-sac home, experience the possibilities the "Beach Retreat" House has to offer without breaking the bank. fun for the whole family

we had a wonderful time! although the weather was great, this house is perfect for when the weather isn't so great as there are tons of things to do for the whole family. Of course the hot tub made the trip the best for mom and dad!

I have stayed in this cottage on sever occasions. For birthday celebrations, and a relaxing get away with the family. Its a great size with lots to offer. I 100 percent recommend this beach cottage. My family and I enjoy it every time. Lots of laughs and good memories. We especially enjoy the hot tub, the pool table and outside space. Its just a short walk to the beach, and the grocery stores and casino is close by. I will be a 7th time guest, and I plan to come back again and make more memories.

Best Beach Vacation Home We Have Stayed at So Far!

We were very happy with all the amenities in the home, the cleanliness, and the additional features outside like the hammock, fenced yard, and bbq for outdoor play with small children. The inside was spacious and comfortable, I don't think the home was missing anything we needed. The extra washer and dryer was a plus as well. I would recommend this home to anyone, and its just a few steps from the beach which was really nice as well, we will be renting again in the future!

Perfect for a family

This is a neat house. The hot tub is awesome and so is the fenced backyard with with the play structure. It was a big hit w/ my nearly 3 year old son. There are toys and games for kids. The large family room is great with the fire place. You can crank up the fire and see the whole yard. The house is not in a busy area and you can walk to beach access. It is not far! The kitchen is stocked with any cooking appliance or gadget one could need and there are plenty of dishes. The house is stocked with lots of baby/toddler necessities like a crib and booster seat. The view of the ocean and beach is okay but it wasn't the reason we choose this house. We wanted the hot tub! I gave 4 stars because I feel the house needs a good deep cleaning; it's not filthy but I thought it could be cleaner. All the linens were clean and there's plenty of extra towels.

My workers & I had 4 busy days of rerouting the main water line, crawl space work, plumbing/drain line rough in for new bathroom in garage conversion space, & prep work for new high efficiency gas furnace, cleaner may have been overwhelmed & short on time prepping house for your arrival. We will make sure to provide ample time for more cleaning for future guests. Once this project is complete, I can get hot tub roof built so a newer & larger hot tub can be placed. This house is Awsome

This was our first time staying in this house but it wont be our last. This house is one of the best we have ever stayed in. It was clean, well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The gran kids loved the play structure and the adults loved the hot tub. Everyone loved our little outdoor racoon friends. The were fun to watch as they begged at the back door for food. The onwers of this house are very easy to work with and great to rent from. Thanks again Steve for a great weekend. The Gardner and Richardson family.

Great House!

I have stayed at this house twice. Once with my husband and once for a girls weekend. This house was great for both occasions. Very kid friendly, lots of toys and room for them to play both indoors and out. Great, close beach access, we had a bonfire on the beach for girls weekend and we all felt very safe walking back to the house in the dark. The large dining table is great for playing games. We also really enjoyed the hot tub, tv's, and game system. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking a great meal. House is clean and well cared for. Wish we were able to get away and stay here more often!!

A Warm Family Christmas to Remember
January 1, 2013
Our family met at this Beach Retreat to share meaningful Christmas family time. Steve provided a Christmas tree and together with a warm fire and all you could need to cook a full holiday dinner, a wonderful time was had by all. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, game tables, board games and all of the technology available. A break in the weather provided a chance for us to fly kites at the beach for the first time. The guys walked to the casino late one night and one returned a winner. Great vacation.

This was our second stay at the retreat. The first time it was just us & our dog. This time we included friends & family. The kids absolutely the outdoor play equipment. The adults took care of the hot tub in the evening. The new BBQ area was also great. We plan on staying at the retreat again in the near future.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary in November last year and loved it so much that we're returning again this year. It's definitely more room then we need for the two of us, but we love the location, the quiet neighborhood, and the 50" plasma TV with the home theater system. I'm sure the beach is great, but we're snuggling in for these winter stays with videos and hot cocoa. Steve is really great to work with, and everything went very smoothly. We'll be coming back every year if possible!

We visited the beach retreat at the end of September for three days and I could have stayed forever. The quaint town of Lincoln City is amazing and the house was the icing on top of the cake. Not only was it spacious but the backyard was incredible and gave our children plenty of room to run and play! We will definitely be visiting again soon. Steve (the owner) was very on top of things and our transaction was smooth and painless. I would highly recommend staying here. My only regret is that we didn't bring the extended family.

It was exactly as we had hoped and we are looking forward to a return visit in the future. We were very comfortable with our dogs freedom to roam the property and get some good running and play time without too much oversight. The hot tub was relaxing and refreshing and the living room was a great place to watch football. We even grilled some burgers on the fantastic outdoor gas grill. We wanted to stay longer but alas our schedule did not allow it this time. We tried to leave the property as clean or better than we found it. Thanks again and we are looking on our calendar for the next time we might be able to get away.

We recently stayed at the beach retreat in Lincoln city. We found the key upon arrival and the house was clean. We enjoyed the large fenced in yard, hot tub and play structure. This is our 6th + (I lost count) time returning to the Beach Retreat. We have been so overjoyed with each and every one of our stays. We were so impressed with the beautiful new deck (& bbq) and the cool new play structure. The new gas range was a real treat; we estimated it actually cut our cooking time in almost half, which meant we had more time to sit and relax. The beds are all very comfortable. The space in the home is astounding. The home is so cool we almost don't want to leave to head down to the beach. It's been such a treat and a great find. We like to go down to the beach at least 3 times a year and the very reasonable price of this place makes that possible. Each time we bring a new guest with us they almost immediately ask for information on how to rent the place. It's funny to watch them go through the house the same as we did when we had our first trip here, they look around at the size and amenities in amazement & are stunned at how awesome and "beachy" this place is. It's a Sweet Beach Retreat each and every time for sure!!! Thanks a million, again, to Steve & family! We will be coming back again soon.

Stop Looking now, pick this Beach retreat house if you want the perfect place for your family. My 3 year old granddaughter felt like she had her own private park in the large backyard that featured a huge wood structure that had a winding slide, swings, bars, disc's. A climbing wall and yes even a hammack. The hot tub was clean and hot and wonderful. The Gas bbq has a direct line so no running out of gas. The house has toys, books games, air hocky, foo's ball, pool table, washer and dryer, game boxes with tons of games and as if that is not enough there is wireless internet as well. A burning pit for hotdogs and or marshmellows, 2 picknic tables. Ocean view, walking beach access. A fenced yard for your dog. A well equiped kitchen, which even had dishes, silverware and cups for a small child and booster chairs too. My 4 month old grandson slept in the crib in one of the upstairs bedrooms. The only thing that I would like is a tv in the downstairs bedroom, because it's the one I always end up in. But there are TV's in both the other rooms. Don't pass this one up. It is fantastic.

This house was GREAT for our family vacation! Short walk to the Ocean and the Casino, plenty of room for the 6 of us plus my 5 year old Grandson! The partial view of the ocean was fantastic, relaxing in the hot tub looking at the ocean, fantastic. There was plenty of things to keep my Grandson entertained as well; X-Box, Pool Table, Air Hockey, a HUGE bucket of toys, the tree house, slide and swings. He had a wonderful time! The owner is very friendly and accommodating as well. We will stay here again on our next trip to the coast!! THANK YOU!!!!

We are return customers and we really enjoyed all the new improvements. My grand daughter loved that the play area was completed she spent a lot of time on it. My husband loved the gas BBQ. Thanks for already booking your 3rd trip back to the "Beach Retreat" house next year for 10 nts following this 2 nt Aug stay. In 2011, the big push was to build the 12' elevated play structure around several large trees with a 7' tube slide, bubble dome, & double swings. In 2012, the big project was building a new 10' x 20' deck, extending gas line for new stainless BBQ, & upgrading stove to a new stainless Jenn-Air gas downdraft slide-in range. Other minor changes included the addition of a climbing/rock wall to the play structure, a new stainless double door fridge w/water/ice, & a dedicated hot water line from tank less water heater to the hot tub for no down time for water changes between guests. This fall & winter the push will be add a roof over hot tub & continue w/garage conversion for another bdrm, bathroom, & rec room. Our family had an incredible time at this rental home. We have 6 children ranging in ages from 16 to 16 months and no one was ever bored. There was an awesome yard with a slide, sand table, badminton, barbeque and a hot tub. The homes interior had lots of toys suitable for young kids and teenagers. The kitchen was excellently stocked with everything needed to cook with and there was also plenty of plastic dishware and booster seats for the toddler and baby. We loved this home! We could tell this rental owner has put a lot of time and thought into making this home an enjoyable place to stay. I hope will be able to return in the future.

We recently rented this beach house. Having 4 grandkids under 10 years old, this place was perfect for us. The kids were outside from morning till dark everyday. The beach access was a nice walk for all of us to take everyday. The town was very close and offered many things to see. Although the huge flat screen t.v.'s were nice, we were outside so much that, believe it or not, the kids never even asked to watch it. (Except maybe in their room at bedtime.) Living in another state than our grandchildren, we see them once a year, and this year we were given the opportunity to bond closer. This is the first time we rented a house and after the wonderful time we had together, it will definitely not be the last. Thanks again to Steve for all the help in making arrangements. We all had a good, relaxing time at the Beach Retreat house the last week in June. Our kids (seven of them, ages 13 - 28) all approved of the house. My teenage boys told me I made an "A+" choice in renting it and they aren't prone to flattery. They were happy to make use of the game tables and got the rest of us into playing too. The living room was nice and big to accommodate all of us. We all fit around the dining table too! It was nice to be able to walk to the beach from the house. We enjoyed the yard and deck during the good weather and grilled our dinner three of the four nights. We didn’t use the hot tub this time, but we probably will when we come again. I definitely recommend the house! It is in good location and is well equipped for staying and playing.

I grew up vacationing in condos. This place exceeded all my expecttions and more. My family enjoyed themselves so much. We booked this property for same day rental and it could not have gone smoother. The owner made the process so simple. We called around 10 am and were allowed an early check so, we were all settled and unpacked by 3pm. I have to say the yard is fabulous. It was like a secret garden. Lush plants, trees and if you have kids... this will be paradise. There is a play area with a slide, hanging swings and even a sand box. The beach was just a short walk away. This property had everything. Very large family space for relaxing and eating as well as a lot of kitchen work space. We will definitely rent again.

,I as the dutiful maid of honor, hosted the bachelorette party to end all bachelorette parties at this kick-ass house. Yes, its great for kids, but even more amazing for grown adults who like to party silly. The hot tub is huge, feels amazing, and lights up like Tron! The loopy slide is super fun! They have a great little fire pit and a big BBQ. The living room and sound system are perfect for late night dance party. And the kitchen is massive and well equipped for drinking and feasting. The beach is just minutes away on foot. I couldn't have planned it better. We all had the best time. EVER! Thank you for the perfect righteous babe bachelorette party. We will never forget it.

This house is very comfortable and in a great location. Beach access is a bit of a jaunt but good exercise. The house is especially great for kids. A tree house, swings, slide, sand box and oodles of toys and books. The beds are very comfortable and the view from the dining room is lovely. My only complaint is the skylights in the master bedroom rendered sleep past sun up virtually impossible.

The owner (Steve) has taken this house to the next level! If you are planning on renting a house and have kids, then this is your place. Nicely landscaped fully fenced in yard with huge play structure and swing set. Nice deck w BBQ and Hot tub. Inside there are TV's in just about every room. Bunk beds for the kids. There is a playroom with foosball, pingpong, airhockey tables for the kids and tons of toys to play with. Xbox's w games to play. In the garage is a pool table. The house is close to the beach and casino. I plan on staying at this house every summer for now on. I cant wait to see what Steve is going to add on next! I give it a 10 out of 10!! Thanks Steve! JP

This was our families first time staying at a beach house and we loved this house. The kids loved the air hockey table and the pool table. My husband and I loved the bbq and the hot tub. The beds were so very comfortable. Loved that we went for a walk and there were 4 deers a house down beautiful to see we walked down the opposite way and watched the sunset on the ocean. It was a quick 5 minute walk to the beach and we also walked to safeway which took us about ins with our 3 kids and dog. Steve was very accomadating and we will definetly stay again can't wait to see the future upgrades! The Reeves

Not only was this a wonderful place to visit, dealing with the owner was a good experience. He was helpful & kind & one can tell he enjoys his beach home and renting it out. My only complaint has nothing with the home, just the city for it's lack of care of the road!!! Enormout potholes!!! I would love to stay there again in the near future. We might even get to use the hot tub! Too cold, & with the hail & snow, it was not too conducive to using it. We had a ball playing games while it stormed. Watching the stormy ocean was also a plus. Love the beach!!!

I will begin with the pros. Steve is very involved with the rental. Extremely helpful, very organized and made it easy to communicate with him. The house is big, and in a great location and a great price. The cons, it needs some major cleaning. We left the house cleaner then upon arrival. When we first got there, the carpets had just been cleaned so there was a funky odor. The base boards are dirty, I went to safeway and bought bleach cleaner as well as sanitary wipes to clean the kitchen and bathroom tub. We had to vacuum up the months old cobwebs that were all over the place. When the rest of our party arrived, we went to use the air mattress and it was broken. Then the hide a bed, also broken! We ended up putting the mat on the floor and sleeping. Hopefully, those items can get fixed and this house could be fabulous~ Look forward to seeing what the future remodel does for this home!!!

I have used the same cleaner for the last 4 years who will go above & beyond while trying to keep cleaning costs as low as possible for current & future guests after each stay. I will have her do a deep clean & schedule carpet cleaning when more than 1 day until next arrival to minimize moisture left behind. Aero bed air mattress is provided for use for unplanned guests & is not checked after each guest's stay. I rely on guests to inform me of some items when their operation stops as noticed or if uncertain how to use. The cleaner verified hide a bed was in working condition. I will provide a manual on how to open for future guests to use correctly & replace air mattress. Thanks again & we hope to see you back for a future visit.

Place was old, but well kept. Only had one shower and not a great sleeping quarters for a group of adults. It was set up more for kids. Pool table and both foosball tables were not in very good condition. Smelled musty, but it was clean and there were nice touches added to make it more personal. We probably will not stay there again unless we have less people. Nice easy walk to the casino. Owner was great to work with! Very accomodating.

I was sorry to hear you dislocated your shoulder snowboarding & would not be able to compete in the archery tournament in LC indicating you wanted to cancel your reservation. But due to cancellation costs w/in 2 wks or less of your arrival date, you decided to make the trip anyway. My larger “Ocean Overlook” house was available at the time of your booking w/3 showers which sleeps 13 adults nicely, & can accommodate up to 20, however in the end budget ruled with 8 adults settling on a 3 bdrm. The Beach Retreat is an older beach cottage, but there have been many home updates w/more on the horizon. Upon the completion of the garage remodel, there will be another bdrm, bthrm w/shower, & finished rec room w/larger pool table. I will update both foosball tables again this spring as I only seem to get 1-2 seasons out of them from guests use.

This was a fantastic place for a quiet getaway with all the comforts of home. The owners have done a fantastic job of making their home very inviting and cozy. All the amenities are perfect. I love that there are great beds and all the cooking equipment needed for elegent meals or casual dining. This is where I would like to spend all my free time if work allowed. My husband and I were the only ones there but if we ever wanted to bring our grandkids someday they would love it as well. Of course I won't have any grandkids for a few years so I will just enjoy it for awhile all by myself. Might try a girls weekend sometime too.

We have rented this home for 3 years and 1 year in the larger home from the Dopps. The Cottage is extremely clean, has everything you needs and the hot tub is excellent after a day of shopping or longs walks on the beach. We love this home and the price is excellent. We will continue renting on our annual trips for many more years to come! We highly recommend this property!

Loved this house! Plenty of room for 5 adults and our 5 year old, though it could have slept more kids. Loved being so close to the beach, and that we could even bring our dogs! You will find a quiet retreat with something for all ages at this vacation rental. The owner has provided plenty of toys, outdoor play equipment, games, and books for children. Video games, foosball, large lcd-tv's, wi-fi, hot tub for all. The kitchen is well-stocked and the dining area is large. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of extra bedding is available. The home is as described on the website and you will enjoy relaxing, the secluded yard, and great location. Steve quickly answers every question and goes out of his way to be helpful. This is an excellent property for families with children. The large yard and play structure, not to mention the hot tub, were big draws for my grandsons. The younger one was delighted with the GeoTrax, and the living/family room is large enough to leave the toys out and still have plenty of room to relax and watch TV. Enough bedroom space for the 7 of us without having to use the hide-a bed. The kitchen is a bit dated but well-equipped, and the owner tells me the downstairs bathroom and kitchen are going to be remodeled. All in all, one of our best beach stays ever.

Very clean & comfortable. Extremely relaxing. The owners are SUPER to work with & the house has EVERYTHING you need & more. Hot tub was fabulous, lotsof toys for the kids, rooms/beds are so comfy. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

We loved every moment of our stay at this Lincoln City home. Nice quiet street. The house is filled both inside and outside with things for children to do and quiet relaxing for us adults. The owner was great to work with. There was everything we needed right there. Will be returning!

Our family was more than impressed with the setting, location, price and quality of this beach house. The house itself is modest and user friendly, it accomodates the entire family from the little ones who can enjoy playing in the sandbox, and the security for mom and dad that the yard is enclosed. It is a great place to enjoy time with your loved ones and the beauty of the Oregon Coast. We would definitly reccommed (and have) to our friends what a great place this is to stay and encourage them to see for themselves.

We booked this home on short notice as our friend was to be fighting in the FCFF Caged at the Coast event at Chinook Winds. We were so surprised upon arrival at what we had rented. I figured it would be a smaller beach property with enough room to operate and sleep...little did we know the place was huge! It was awesome. I never imagined we would be so lucky. The house had tons going on and a lot to keep everyone busy. The house might be a little older but they have done a lot to modernize it and make it a great place. Flat Screen tv's throughout, a nice new BBQ, great hot tub, quality bedrooms with nice beds. This place was outstanding and I can't wait to go back. Thank you so much to the owners for an excellent time!

Our family goes on a vacation to the Oregon Coast every summer. This house definitly has everything your family is looking for! The kids had so many things to do, they were never bored. Whether it was outside on the swings, in the playhouse, playing in the sandbox or simply just running around the yard. Great peace of mind for us adults. Very relaxing, quiet neighborhood. And all of us adults couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Felt like a home away from home. Everyone could enjoy somthing different while being together. Foosball, cable, movies, games, hot tub, picnic table, close to the casino & beach. Just some of the things our family enjoyed while staying here, memories never to be forgotten. Looking for a great place to go for your next family vacation, look no further! Our family can't wait to come back!

Despite the buckets of rain this weekend; the ladies and I had an awesome relaxing time at the beach house. We loved your spacious home. The living area off the kitchen made it convenient for some of us to be LOUD and not disturb others still sleeping. We plan to return for our GIRLS ONLY weekend and with our families to enjoy the huge fenced in yard. Our next GIRLS only weekend has already been booked. Thanks Steve

Cozy during the winter storm

We were pleasantly suprised upon our arrival at the beach rental for our girls get away. We immediately felt at home. We were treated to a winter storm during our stay abd fekt utterly felt cozy tucked into the house. The gas fireplace set the scene as we watched the storm out the big windows. The hot tub was also a grand treat to enjoy the storm from. The kids loved the toys available at the house and the sleeping set up was perfect. The yard looked great for the kids and we were sad it was to stormy for the kids to play in. Maybe next time. The house was located in a very quiet neighborhood. It was easy to locate and an a quick drive to the outlet mall and casino.

My family typically stays in timeshare condos... this time we wanted to do a little gambling, so we found this property last minute on Craigslist. The house was very well equipped! I forgot my iPod dock and thought, SHOOT! But when we walked in, I was very pleasantly surprised to find an iPod dock that was alreay hooked up to the surround sound in the living room. The hot tub was clean, as was the rest of the house and property. You really get the feeling of seclusion here, unlike the timshare condos I usually stay in. The beds are also very comfortable and I would recommend this house to anyone. It's a nice short walk away from the casino and beach. The owner is an excellent person to communicate with and makes booking simple! Will be back!!

This is a great rental home, especially for those who have children. The house was really clean, lots of toys, video games and lots of space. We had a really good time and would recommend this to everybody.

We had a wonderful time! The kids did not want to leave the yard, they had a blast exploring. The house was fixed up nice, clean, yet not too "stuffy" for those with children. The adults enjoyed the hot tub at night and how close the house was to the casino. Another huge plus was the all the toys you had. It was nice not having to bring things for the kids to do. :o) We will be back!

the house was beautiful,the view spectacular.The hot tub would have been great but it was way to hot to sit in.and im not sure what duties are for the cleaning people,but the bath tub was dirty,the barbque was unuseable and there was burn rice in the burners on the stove.All and all it was a wonderful place,and would love to go back and stay

We had a really great week staying in this home. We rented movies, played games, visisted the beach and enjoyed being with family. I will return to this home again. My kids loved playing with the toys provided and the swings and sand box were a great bonus. The hot tub rocked!

Steve made everything so easy for us.We were suprised on how nice and clean the house was.Great location close to all the action and fishing.But also private and quite and peaceful.We had a cook out with about 10 people and everyone loved the place.The only problem was they loved it so much they will be renting it and that might be a problem for me later ha,ha.3 People slept there and we felt like king's and queen of the casle plenty of room for more guest next time.And there will be a next time.So if i am going to drive 6 hours to and from and rent it again you know for a fact it's a great place.

Loved The Cottage

Sandy Shores is the quintessential beach house. We loved the knotty pine interior and big rock fireplace where we had a fire every night. The view of the beach and surf from the living, dining and master is fabulous and the direct access via the stairs made it so easy to zip down to enjoy the beach. The cottage is small, but a great little getaway for a family or small group of friends. We will book this place again!
