Description of the Lincoln City vacation home rental
NEW: We have optional sit-on-top kayaks for paddling around in the Siletz Bay when the tide is slack. They are not sea kayaks and may not be used in the ocean. A $25 per kayak rental for your entire stay, a credit card security deposit, and a signed waiver will get you out paddling with the seals. You can drop a crab trap out in the middle of the bay for a bigger haul than you'll ever get from shore. They are light enough that two people can carry one down to the bay, or you can take them in your truck. Life jackets are provided and required.
Area Information
Besides all that Lincoln City has to offer, you can take a scenic day trip to Newport and the Oregon Coast Aquarium (just 23 miles), or up past Cascade Head to Pacific City or the Capes Route.

Sorry for delayed response. Had a crisis in the family. Any way, here goes. Your rental was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The only inconvenience was when the front door lock stopped working due to moisture in the air. We could not let the dogs out through the front door to the yard in the middle of the night, and had to take them out via the long basement steps and out into the rain. It is much easier out the front door, since there is a porch cover, and we do not get wet waiting for the dogs to finish their call to nature plus, the yard is fenced with hedges, and the tree lot next door, which is a deterrent to keep dogs from running away. Other than this, you have a beautiful home rental Amy. It was mesmerizing just sitting in the living room and watching the sea waves from the window. We could have sat all day watching the sea out the window, but made ourselves get up and go. Thank you for the lovely stay.

We resolved the problem with the door lock; it wasn't moisture, it was just stuck. It looked like maybe someone tried to force the door, bending the mechanism; we had to replace it. I'm very sorry about the trip down the stairs in the night!
I know what you mean about watching the ocean there; it's an ever-changing panorama, and so many birds! If you come back you'll find the house refreshed with a facelift; new paint, new windows, and more, happening this weekend. Thanks for staying.

Great place to spend Spring Break

We had a great time relaxing and playing with this beach house as our base. It had ample accommodations for our group of 4 adults, 2 kids and 3 medium sized dogs. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and the lounging area roomy AND cozy. It's a nice place to hang out in when the weather is sketchy, with views of the ocean from most rooms. It feels lived in but clean and well maintained. Comfortable is the word. The location is excellent, with beach access (stairs) just down the street, and the bay a 5-10 minute walk to the south. We never did get around to using the kayaks, but it was nice to have the option at a very reasonable cost. The owner, Amy, was a breeze to communicate with. The rental arrangement process could not have gone smoother. 5 stars!

Weekend Family Get-a-Way

VERY relaxing to sit on the couch and watch the waves crashing on the beach! Located in a very quiet neighborhood. There is lots to do very close to the home. The owner has a crab trap and (2) ride on kayacks for the bay for rent (very cheap) if you so choose. The home was very clean on the living floors. The basement where you enter is unfinished and mainly used for storage. The beach has lots of driftwood for building a fire on the beach and fixing s'mores and roasting hotdogs. The beds were wonderful to sleep on (6 adults and NO complaints). The king bed has a memory foam mattress, the others may but I am not positive. Everything you need for your stay is in the home from pots, pans, griddle, utensils, spices, paper towels, aluminum foil, games, binoculars, bath towels, clothes washer and dryer, dishwasher, Wii games, Playstation, kids toys, WiFi, etc. Pet friendly home was a must for us as my daughter won't go without her rescued dog. This was the first time renting a home rather than staying in a motel and when split with family it is actually cheaper than a motel with much more amenities. Plus, now I don't have to pack nearly as much for a stay.

Awesome Beach House

We feel so lucky to know about Amy's beach house in Lincoln City. It couldn't have been more taylored to exactly what we desired. We were welcomed by spouting whales and sea lions right out the front window. It was so special. Now that we know of a GREAT beach house to stay in, I think we'll be seeing alot more of our beautiful Oregon coast. The weather was great also. If you don't like it at the moment just stay inside by the cozy fireplace and play one of the many games supplied ( including ping-pong ) until the weather changes. It only takes a little while before you find yourself back on the beach in front of the house collecting beautiful agates with every new wave. There just isn't a better view to have a meal from either as all the ammenties of home are in the kitchen at your finger tips. We couldn't believe that we could see the ocean from the COMFORTABLE bedrooms also. This place is simply "The Place To Be" and we can't wait to be there again. Great view! Plenty of room to lounge around in the living space with all 8 of our family. Lots of separate beds for the 6 fishermen and 2 surfers on the trip. We loved the extra bonus of 2 dryers in the basement for us on this ultra-wet fall day on the coast. There's a ping-pong table too!

Wonderful, charming getaway on the coast

We stayed here in mid-September when the weather was absolutely gorgeous. The house was unique, charming and well stocked with anything we could have needed (pots, dishes, soaps, towels, etc). The yard was a bit smaller than expected for the two dogs, but we managed OK. The view more than made up for it! While there was a nice TV with game systems and cable, we never turned it on the entire week we were there. When we weren't out exploring, we'd sit in the living room and watch the boats on the water, and look for whale spouts. The owner of the property was more than accommodating and responded to emails in a very prompt manner. If you're looking for a no-frills, cozy, convenient place to spend some time on the coast, then this is the place for you!

Very relaxing home with everything we needed for a very convenient stay. Beds were super comfortable, lots of space for our stuff. Sunset each day was a real treat, plus being able to bring our small dog who really enjoyed the time we sat on the patio in the back overlooking the ocean.The location was close to anywhere we headed. The owner was readily available and very helpful, as well as organized for the whole rental process. We would definitely stay at this home again. We did not have time to take advantage of the amenities like the wii and games.

This house is perfect! The house is very private and has everything wii and playstation satellite tv with a really nice tv the house has wifi and a computer to use also. Furnishings are newer and gas fireplace was nice! I have rented many homes at the coast this has been the best. You can tell the owner take pride in their home it's just not a money making thing for them the prices are great ! This home is not missing a thing! Also has a great lil fire pit off the cozy porch that we really enjoyed using! We thank the owners for sharing

Relaxing girls getaway

Four women, one beach house, a place for everyone, 3 bathrooms, 2 with showers, beautiful setting and awesome ocean view, the sound of the ocean coming through the windows at night, beach access close by and dinner out a short beach walk away, an evening around the fire pit--it was a wonderful place to call home at the beach. In thinking about future scenarios, because we will be back, the notes I took were: don't assume/bring more spices for cooking (but eating out is such a great option, maybe just don't cook), and consider that everyone coming needs to be comfortable with stairs. Follow the owner's instructions carefully--this place is a gem and we want to keep it that way! Quiet neighborhood deserves quiet visitors. After the fact, the $85 cleaning fee seemed a bit steep for our 2-day stay--but worth it if we had been there for a full week with a full house of people. We were very tidy visitors. We did leave the kitchen spotless, as instructed, and that was the bulk of the cleaning. Still, if you don't want to clean bathrooms or do laundry, mop floors, etc.--opt for the cleaning fee. It's worth it when all is said and done. Enjoy!

3 friends and I rented this house for my 60th birthday - for the week. The pix are EXACT! The view was FABULOUS. This is a cozy home perfect for 4 adults. The week was made even more fabulous as the coast had the biggest snowfall EVER RECORDED! Waves were 15-18 feet, wind close to 80 mph. It was awesome to sit and watch it all from this gorgeous picture window with the fireplace going and chocolate wine in all hands. The king and queen beds are sooo comfy. One piece of advice is to bring games if you are adults. Pretty much all children's games. But, other than that, it was a spectacular week and I would definitely rent this home again!

This is our second stay at this beautiful house we spent Thanksgiving here a couple of years ago. The house is equipped with everything you will need. The view is great. Our dog loves laying in front of the fireplace. the beach is short walk. We have brought the family but this week was just the two of us. Amy and Robert have created a home away from home. We loved our stay and are sure to return

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house and view is amazing. My kids fell in love with the house as it is well stocked with Legos, toys, Wii and several games. Just a short walk away from the beach. Couldn't ask for a better place!

Excellent property owners with lots of helpful and interesting information. The owners are great, I even received an email the night before we were to arrive with updates about how great the low tide had been and where to take the kids to see some great tide pools! This was my first time renting a vacation home and I will definately do it again. The owner was wonderful, the house was as described with everything needed for our holiday get together including a christmas tree :-) (the owners asked if we were ok with the tree). The kids had a great time playing ping pong / air hockey / Playstation 2 and they even had a Wii system with games. The home is in a great location on the south end of lincoln city - close to the factory stores and not far from the casino and only 6 houses down from beach access. The only issue we had was the remote for the upstairs tv was nowhere to be found (my dad had the kids search the entire house) and due to the satelite system without the remote you could only watch movies. If it wasn't for my dad (can't sleep without a tv) this wouldn't have been an issue, luckily they had sci-fi movies he could watch that made it bearable. The firepit outside is great for making smores (they even had roasting sticks) and enjoying the beach fire experience without the sand. Overall if it wasn't for the remote I would have given it a 5 star. The stairs were a bit much for the older relatives, (they seemed steeper in person) the outside stairs are easier for access but a little narrow and hard to see at night.

We really enjoyed our time at this vacation rental. We took advantage of the bonfire pit and roasted hot dogs under the stars. We now have great memories that will last a life time. Whats a weekend in Lincoln City without one stormy day? Thankfully there was a ping pong table that kept the kids and also adults busy for hours. Although it was nasty outside we were able to sit back and enjoy hot coco by the fireplace. Would highly recommended this very spacious rental.

The views from all main floor living areas are fantastic. You can hear the waves crashing on the beach below and enjoy great sunsets from the warmth of the gas fireplace or sit on the porch with a glass of wine and say "ahhh". Having two full baths on the main level is great and half bath upstairs where the bedrooms are is very nice. King size, queen or twin beds available, plus a futon on the main floor. I would not recommend this unit for those who have difficulty with stairs as there are stairs to the entry and more stairs to the sleeping areas. The owners take pride in their home and it shows.

We can't express enough kudos for the vacation house we rented right on the beach in Lincoln City. We had our two granddaughters, one 18 and one is 8, and there was so much for each to do. The beach access was right next to the property, and watching the waves right out the front window was unbelievable. The house was clean, comfortable, and accomodated each of our wishes for a place perfectly. Yes, I would highly recommend this property, and we hope to go back as soon as we can!

This was a great home - the photos really don't do it justice. We had a fantastic weekend relaxing on the incredibly comfy sofas in the livingroom with the best view of the ocean. The kids loved the ping pong and air hockey in the basement, and the stairs to the beach were just down the road. The beds, too, were very comfortable and great for a good night's sleep. The 6 of us were very comfortable there. Will definitely be back to this house. Thanks to Amy for allowing us this stay!

Loved the neighborhood, the view and proximity to the ocean! We had a multi-generation vacation and Grandparents enjoyed themselves and the peaceful/cozy atmosphere as much as the Grandkids enjoyed the pingpong,videogmames and sand. Mom and Dad enjoyed walking on the beach and in the neighborhood. We loved the nooks and crannies available to everyone to hide away doing whatever each wanted to do. Great way to stay at the Oregon coast since rain is always a factor - stay warm and dry while enjoying the beauty and power of the stormy sea. The kids were asking when we could we come back before we even left!

With Nelscott Reef in sight, the great room provided unbelievable views of the largest waves we had ever seen. The house is comfortable, with a secluded feel, ample room and smartly furnished. Great for our toddlers and dog. The beach is a short walk with a lot of stairs. The locale has all the ammenities one could desire. We will be back!

I haven't had any sort of vacation in quite awhile due to my shop demanding all my time. . It was my 52nd birthday but 49 PLUS TAX to anyone who knows me. This has been such a pleasure. We loved the view, the personal touch of fresh flowers and the serene surroundings. .We would do it again. I also recommend to anyone who is not familiar with this area to try the Sea Hag in Depot Bay or Maxwells in Lincoln City. . You won't be disappointed. .

Our little Sisterhood group, from Sweet Home, OR stayed at Amy's house for 2 days. We all had a wonderful time and slept like babies. We even had an entertaining light show over the ocean to watch one evening that was awesome to see! Thanks Amy, for ordering lighting up just for us! heehee!...She is so accommodating! The house is very well equipped and we girls all really appreciated the 3 bathrooms! We had no complaints, and are already planning our next stay! This house is so cozy yet spacious, and the view can't be beat. It is so peaceful to sit in front of the large picture window and watch the waves. We have been renting homes along the Oregon Coast for years, and this house rates among my top five favorites. I can't wait to go back!

My sister, mom and I all stayed for five nights and it wasn't long enough. We all have hectic lives so this was a much needed relax and pamper get away. My favorite day, we stayed in our PJ's until 2:00 watching the ocean - seals, dolphins and whales all in one day - then went to the spa. Big house but still very cozy. I can't wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs over Thanksgiving week, and absolutely loved it. The house has amazing views of the ocean, and it's only a short walk to a set of public stairs that take you down to the sand. Plus, the fact that the house is pet-friendly was great for us. And the home itself is very cozy, especially with the beautiful stone gas fireplace. I would definitely recommend this home for families with kids, too, as there are lots of games, puzzles, etc. and it is clear that the owner and her family treasure it as a beach home, and allow others to share as well.

This house on the beach was incredible. Nothing was missed.......the two decks had lots of seating, a great hottub, firepit, and views that would knock your socks off. There was plenty to do inside and out - lots of games, books, TV's in every room (although you would be crazy to watch them when there are so many more exciting things to do), pingpong, and the list goes on. The kitchen was equipped with great pots and pans, a nice herb selection and a wine opener that got used a lot. The only thing we found that was missing was a garlic press. If you are looking for a convenient spot for shopping, beach combing, kite sailing or just relaxing, this house is for you. My daughters, neice and I had a FANTASTIC TIME!!

I took my family to stay at one of your duplex condo rentals in July and it was a wonderful experience for all of us and expecially for our daughter who came out to visit from Texas with her husband, who had never seen the ocean. This trip helped him fall in love with Oregon and because of this wonderful view from the rental, they are going to move out here next year.
